I dont see it. What we need is a 6-11 245 athletic player with skills LOL and buy a pick if there is a good PG that slips.

Chris Singleton is a top 10 pick ...bank it.

And I just realized they have Minny taking another PG

To get Jimmer it seems like we are going to have to trade up to between 10 and 15. If we can get him then I say we go for it, though I do agree we need a center now that Mos is gone.

This site has us taking the freshman Josh Selby from Kansas at 16 http://www.mynbadraft.com/2011-NBA-Mock-Draft

why would the Knicks want Jimmer? They need a PG who can orchestrate and play defense. Not a dude who shoots a lot.

You know you want to scream "JIMMER" everytime he hits a three and serenade him with "Jimmmm-uhhhhhh" after he hit a gamewinner

That said, Knicks already have TD (and Rautins). The need is a true pass first point, rebounding, and size

Not saying we absolutely take either guy in the 17-20 range but two guys I really like for us are 6'11" Oakland C Keith Benson and 6'3" Illinois PG Demetri McCamey.

Benson looks a little thin at 225 lb (reports are that he's actually playing closer to 230 lbs this year) but there's no denying he's got a lot of variety to his game: Looks to be an above average athlete that scores it in the post with either hand over both shoulders, he's an effective mid-range jumpshooter, runs the floor, double-digit rebounding potential and he's the best shot-blocker in the country right now, somewhere close to 4 blks per game. That's a real nice intriguing package of skills..If this kid continues refining those already-impressive skills and adds another 5-10 lbs of muscle (Greg Brittenham's department), who knows? Projected to go somewhere in the upper 2nd round depending on what mock you look at, I think this dude's 1st round talent. What hurts him the most right now, more than the lack of bulk, is that he plays for a mid-major program and not a top school. I mean if we're gonna consider a guy like Kenny Faried with our 1st rounder and not be scared off by the fact that he plays for a small program, then I think you go the whole nine and broaden the scope to include a guy like this too. Like Sylven Landesberg last year, a guy I wanted in the second round with one of those picks, just bring Benson in for a workout and a closer look when the time comes..That's all I ask. Is there really that much of a difference between this guy and Hassan Whiteside? Similar body types, similar games..Benson might actually be more polished..

McCamey's had a real rough go of it from about mid-January on for some reason but even with the poor wrap-up to his senior year, this guy's still intriguing: 6'3", smooth, unflappable court demeanor, and a clutch shooter..Greatly improved his 3 pt shooting this year (48%) and he's been one of the top assist men in college the last two seasons. Not an elite player by any means but overall he seems pretty steady..When you watch him play you can't help but think Chauncey Billups. I guarantee that if we ever drafted him and Chauncey had a chance to tutor him for a full year, he'd come away thinking he was looking in the mirror at a junior version of himself..This guy's not the penetrator Billups was during his heyday nor as good a defender but otherwise, they have very similar games..Could be a rich man's Chris Duhon.

Taking either guy with our 1st is probably a reach (although Benson, I really don't know man--that kid's skilled), but if we decide to trade down or if we decide to purchase an additional low 1/high 2, I wouldn't be against taking either guy.

Hey anyone seen Marshon Brooks drop 52 on Notre Dame last night? Man this kid's a dynamite scorer. He's really come into his own this year. What do you guys think? NBA future? Monta Ellis only bigger? Rich man's Jamal Crawford? I think this kid can do even more than Crawford offensively, he rebounds AND he actually can play some defense..

Saw that as well. I think they would take Barnes in that scenario and/or trade down.

You know BRIGGS "LOL" was because he is referring to Gallo right? That we already had that player here and let him go.

This Lithuanian cat sounds like a younger version Mozgov. I'd take a gamble on him.

I have no real opinion on Biyombo (yet), but I'm against Nogueira. Maybe he'll turn out to be real great, but he's a project pick. While I'm also more interested in in building up the interior, not wiht a project a pick. The Knicks would be better served to draft a young point like Knight who has some serious upside and could contribute a little right away. Knicks need rotation players. Not this year's Tiago Splitter (someone that you stash overseas for a few years and then bring to the NBA)
