They are all frontcourt heavy teams--we will have no chance unless we have a miracle in the next two days--no E barron is not a miracle.

We are not more competitive for the 2011 playoffs we just have a sexy name on the team.

The height factor will be addressed before this trade deadline comes and goes. Besides were they going to beat the top teams with what they had before? I like the KNicks chances more now.

The real issue, besides the fact that we cannot compete with the big dogs, is that we are now in a situation where it may be almost impossible to get the pieces we need to compete against them on an equal footing in the future.

Two sub-superstar one-dimensional scorers are not going to get you a title, and NEVER have in the history of the sport.

The Knicks are like Miami now. Good in the sense that there is tremendous star power. Bad in the sense that we're still weak up front and a little weak at PG. But again, those pieces will come around.

GEEZ! Can we get past the trade deadline 1st before we assume that we can't match up? I think we're much closer with our Starting Lineup now. It won't be a cakewalk for teams trying to defend us, that's for sure. It wasn't easy to stop us before, but it's gonna be even harder now.

Yeah, it really sucks we couldn't go from 29 wins to NBA champs in a single season. We got shafted there.

Precisely, I can't see the Knicks being stopped by these other teams. That is MDA's strength is his ability to max his offense.

I agree, getting to the ECF and winning it should be our short-term goal. I think with a couple of additional moves we will be in play to accomplish that (barring injuries).

this year is a waste. Its fine... if the Knicks do not upgrade the roster in the next 2 days its very possible we miss the playoffs entirely.

The challenge will be building the roster around two scorers who dont really defend and are average rebounders at best.

With no Mosgov we are back to guys like BigZ and Elton Brand dropping 14 points on us in the first 10 minutes hitting 6 or their 7 first shots.

Diva and Stat are excellent players but whats left of this roster is a joke. At least with Chandler or Mosgov we would have had a guy who can fill in the stat sheet.

Our bigs are terrible. Sheldon Williams wont play here because he's a lousy NBA player and the Knicks are better playing small speed ball with guys like Williams and Douglas then they are trying to match size with garbage like Shelden and Ear Barron.

The future of this team comes down to Walsh and his continuing ability to squeeze blood from a stone.

This year will be MDA's fault for Diva's lack of defense and the Knicks getting outrebounded every game (after all we know he only cares about shooting 3's)

What happens next year?

One of them is the nest rebounding small forward in the game you mean.

Mozgoz: 12.8

saying this is the same thing as people saying "don't worry. We don't need Melo. Gallo/Mozgov/TD will develop"

We're a poor man's version of Miami.

Lebron/Wade/Bosh are better than Billups/Melo/Amare. Not even close.

Stat, Melo, Billups, Fields are an excellent starting 4. The roster outside of Melo & stat is not a joke, we're really just missing a center.

This year matters, we're going into the playoffs. I know you remember 1999. Anything can happen.
