Yes, I wanted the Knicks pursuing Melo, and I think we'll win more games for having him. But while I didn't want/expect the Knicks to fleece Denver, I did want Donnie to work the trade, not overpay, and have this be a victory of accomplishment for the front office.

But having Walsh's power usurped by the serpent from below, who masturbated his bumbling bedfellow with a silver spoon up his ass, feeding him illusions of grandeur for beating the mighty Russian, I feel emotionally hollow.

Dolan paid for caviar in Walsh and came home with Isiah's popcorn for the same price.

---

Welcome to NY Melo. I think big things are still possible if Walsh is left alone. But with Isiah parking his truck in Dolan's ear the Garden will again be house of cards held together with toilet paper.

I agree. Isiah's lurking presence is the most disturbing aspect of this deal.

Well except for Dolan's lurking presence. Isiah is just a symptom, Dolan's the disease

The introductory press conference is going to be must see tv. And not because of Carmelo.

Isiah will ceremonially dump Walsh out of his wheelchair and onto the street in front of a yellow cab.

The trade conference call has to go through and all players in the trade have to pass physicals. I imagine a press conf tomorrow at the earliest.

And, yes, it will be interesting to see if Walsh even shows up.

I fear this is the end in NY for Donnie.

Never happen. He doesn't like doing his dirty work. He'll have MSG security guards do it. Just like they did Chaney.

The deal stinks. I agree with Lupica who said Walsh would have gotten this done with Curry, Chandler and Randolph. Melo wasn't going to sign to play in NJ. This trade will haunt the Knicks.

Now that would have been a good deal for us. I find it hard to believe, however.

pretty much how I am feeling.

This wasn't about marching towards a championship team so much as Dolan just wanting to ****-block NJ.

And it seems like Walsh is out, which is disgusting.

i'd be feeling differently if we were able to trot out a 7'1" 275 lb. developing young center with these 4 guys.

The second that Dolan was intervening was just a gigantic red alert.

He just couldn't let Donnie do his job.

Losing Mozgov hurts the most. True centers are rare in this day in age.

If Mozgov is rare, then Carmelo doesn't exist.

Guys. It's MUCH harder to find someone like Carmelo, than a center. I'm not saying it isn't hard to find a center - it is. But Carmelo? Who is another player similar to this guy?

I told Andrew last night, Moz was my tipping point.

It's about competing against ourselves. Actually, it's about management being undermined by its owner and the snake in his pants.

+1. Unsurprising to see Isiah disrespecting Donnie's finds. (And then he'll tell us he scouted him for us.)
