Im calling it now. we had a good team that we couldve built into a champion and just blew it up and gave away every last asset we could while holding deep leverage.

Well... we can still sign Chandler as a FA at the end of the season. Take that, Denver!

Sad to say, I'm gonna call... cosign.

I would've given up that kind of package for LeBron or Kobe. Probably not even Wade or Durant. That's it. Carmelo? no.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Oh BS. We had a .500 team whose two best players were acquired in free agency.

I don't like the trade, but I don't even know if this ranks on the Worst Trades of NY Knicks History.

Not the worst trade in history. We've made 2-3 worse in the last decade. Its clearly too much, but I think Melo is gonna be a great player in a Knick uniform.

There will be players who will want to come here to play with Melo and Stoudemire- I don't know how we're going to get them at this point.

Although if this is the first of Isiah's round 2 of moves, then we will screw this up and we will be screwed. Thats the wild card.

+1

it might not even crack the top 3 for the past decade.

McDyess for Camby + Nene

ECurry for 2 lotto picks (became LaMarcus Alrdridge and Noah)

Marbury for 3 draft picks + cap room galore

They gave up too much. They had youth on their side and gave it up.

I am on the side if not liking this deal.

What did the Heat give up for Shaq? The Celtics for KG?

LMAO...Whats championship? NIT? Give me a break this was an average team at best. Dont overrate the team just because we stunk for 7 straight years and managed to climb 2 games over .500.

It's not the worst trade in NBA history but it's one of the worst in franchise history.

I don't understand how you're supporting this trash. Don't be star struck. Carmelo is not worth this much.

Papabear Says

It was a 500 ball club with no defense. I liked the guys and I believe Chandler will be back in June. We will get Gallo back. Gallo knows the deal. The Nets started this stuff by putting that sign outside MSG. Maybe the Knicks would have not went after Carmelo like this but we had to do this.

Melo is 3x's better than any of the players we received in those deals.

Gallo is a good player, with potential to be very good, but not great. Everyone else in this deal is a role player at best and can be replaced in free agency and in the draft.
