At this point, I'd rather take my chances in free agency.
Highly doubt any other team would give everything & the
kitchen sink, not knowing what will happen with the CBA.

No, I can't imagine giving up rotation member 2-5 is a great idea in any trade.

But I will say I'd be willing to do Gallo/Chandler/Mozgov/Curry/Randolph for Melo/Sheldon/Ely/Balk or something like that.

That's still a bad trade.

No effing way.

Chandler, Curry, AR, 2014 first, $3mil or GTFO. If they beg with fifteen minutes before the deadline and offer free weed to Chandler for the first year, I offer the Felton/Billups swap to clinch the deal.

Otherwise, Melo/Nuggs/Nyets can go F themselves. We already have a solid core. We need a defensive 5 and a backup 1, not an ass raping.

I thought a fair reasonable and anonymous poll was a good indicator of fan fair with the trade. It almost looks unaminous that no one likes it. I have never seen a poll so one-sided so far. I think that they should listen Other than knickoftime and any other handles he has--I dont see more than 2 yes votes:)

Its more tolerable to me. I think with Felton at the helm you can still have Melo and Amare score efficiently and you would still have a collection of decent roleplayers (Fields, Douglas, Williams). The hope is that Ely or Williams can play some Center...

Thats been my position. I think Melo and Amare won't work right without a PG like Felton. I'm not big on Billups at this point in his career. Want a quicker PG who can attack the lane more.

Its just too many players to give up. I mean you're giving up everyone on your core not named Amare. I can see giving up the wing scorers because you're getting Melo. And you have to give up Curry and Randolph to sweeten the pot. And listen I'm not of the opinion that Mozgov is the 2nd coming so I wouldn't hold out just for him, but I think one of the biggest reasons things have worked out this year is the PG. In this offense, we have known from Day 1 that everything starts with the point guard. The point guard has to be able to move fast and change the pace. We knew Duhon couldn't do it, but for like 15 games he somehow managed to and we saw some halfway decent results at the beginning. When Felton got his groove in this offense it absolutely took off. He is perfectly capable of running this long term as long as we don't run him into the ground.

I think Chauncey is too old and I'm not sure he has the quicks or penetrating ability to be the right PG. Yes he can hit the 3 and has great experience, but I'm not sure he's the right guy at this point.

Here's the question some of you should ask youself,

donnie set out to get 2 max players with the cap money he restored, he got one and some decent role players (only 2 (felton and turiaf) have had a impact. Had he got melo along with amare (and im sure David lee would be more attrative then felt, WC, and gallo) we would have been praising donnie, mda and dolan.

Now that this squad has shown some signs ( we would be 10th in the west standings today) people feel there giving up too much..If joe johnson would have sign here or even LBJ, we would still be looking at a thin ass bench, TD as our staring PG and a few d league players...

Guys were not that good currently constructed

I also can't see this being a deal breaker for Denver..Billups only have one year left on his deal and If needed I'll be willing to throw in 7 mil for half Billup's salary for next year..

*cough* Not. Your going to drive sheldon Williams through Howard to an NBA championship?

And Mozgov is gonna do it? We don't have the big man on the roster as it is. I like Mozgov but he's a big body, not a skill player.
