Any other knick fans watching this? It's going to be a pretty good tournament this year. I don't follow the sport as much but I guess Australia is favored! India just rocked Bangladesh today. I am hoping for good games against South Africa and England. Can't wait for Australia to play their first match.

Go India. I went to a World Cup match when I was in India - 9 or 10 years ago. While I love baseball, the 1 day cricket matches are far more exciting. Constant hitting and action. The crowds are huge and wild, totally into the game.

I never been to a game in person unfortunately but yeah, 1 days are fun and the 20/20 are unreal entertaining. Kenya got smoked by New Zealand and Canada is getting run over by Sri Lanka. I cannot wait for some of the real games coming up soon.

Well what a frickin game yesterday. Dunno if you guys watched the England-India game but man, it had everything. Truly phenomanal. Final score, draw at 338 each. Shahazad, Bresnan and Swann hitting big sixes in the last 2 overs, Strauss 158, The Little Master yet another hundred. Just had everything.

Oh hell yeah! Dude, I cannot believe that powerplay backfired like that for you guys! I never knew Strauss had the 158 in him and if he had kept playing his game at the wicket, England would have won the match very comfortably. Thank god for Zaheer and those two wickets that fell back to back. The last two overs were some of the best I have seen in the last 20 years I have watched the sport. I gotta tell you though firefly, if Yuvraj wasn't robbed off the lbw on Bell, it could have been a completely different game.

Good times man. Good luck to you guys against South Africa this week. We have a weak one against Ireland.

Straussys been a totally different player since he was dropped from the one-day side. Veeeery aggressive, almost like Trescothick. And Bell wasn't out, it's just an obscure cricket rule that doesn't come out very often because spinners tend not to bowl halfway down the track!!! If the ball impacts 2.5m down the track, there is no LBW.

It's a shame Indias bowling isn't any good or they would have a good shot of the trophy with their awesome batting. As it is I wold take SA, Sri Lanka and even England before India because they NEED to hit so many runs just to defend a total. Just please god don't let Australia win. Sour, angry bastards, all of them.

Oh wow, thats awesome man!! Jadeja is royalty if I remember correctly and supposedly a class act. How was he to talk to? I never really met any players in real life.

This is one of the biggest world cup tournament I can remember and I cannot wait for the knockout stages to start. What firefly said is right, our bowling kinda sucks but we have the best batting lineup in the world and i'm hoping for a world cup victory so I'm glad you are pulling for the Indians. They need all the fans they can get.

Really a cool guy. Now he is broadcasting all the national team matches for NDTV.. Does a great job from what I hear. He is very down to earth, and keeps himself there through his kids. He lives not too far (walking distance) from my daughter. She met his wife and they are very good friends.

Ireland played an amazing match against England. I cannot believe they successfully chased 327! O'Brien destroyed all sorts of records with his century. They are going to have a tough time today. 184 for 8 and having to defend against the Indian batting order will be very difficult.

That was close! I was worried until Yusuf came in and decided to blow the doors wide open with 16 off the first 6 he faced.

Did anyone get to see the England v. South Africa match? Went down to the wire with the English bowler getting 2 wickets and winning it for them. Group A is no joke! The knockout rounds are gonna be tough.

Yeah, Indian. I paid the $140 for the willow tv tournament package but http://cric24u.net/ is supposed to be decent. You will have to close the ads and go fullscreen mode and then have a decent quality feed. I'm up at 4:30 too. I can't get out of work tomorrow but I am definitely watching at work.

Glad to see fellow Indians at UK! Thanks for the link. I was joking about calling in sick, I wish I could though.
