Nothing confirmed from Anthony as of yet but as usual the media presenting rumors as facts. I'm sure the defeatists attitudes shared by most Knicks fans believe that Dolan will mess everything up. I can read the blogs, tweets, and columns already. "Frumpy Dolan unimpressive in his meeting with team Melo while Prokorhov, the handsome, smooth talking Russian billionaire walked away from the meeting with a commitment in his pocket."

If these so-called meetings come to fruition, I look at it as a good thing for the Knicks. Its always been about the Nets meeting with Anthony to convince him to sign with Nyets. Meeting with the Knicks sounds like is could be a consession, perhaps from camp Anthony. To meet face-to-face with Dolan and tell him to get me here. Anthony needs to stop guarding his image and tell Nugs front office, I dont want the Nyets (unless, we've all misread Anthony all along and its really about the money.)

Well luckily the owners themselves are not the deciding factor here. We would be blown out of the water.

short, chubby, daddy's boy vs. all-around awesome self-made billionaire

He'll bring Allan Houstan and I would imagine Warky.

Donnie should be there unless he is not traveling.

Theres no question Walsh should be there, if these meetings are legit. Still need confirmation from Melo. If there is a meeting, hopefull Melo is made aware that the feelings are mutual between he and the Knicks but the Nugs are making it damned-near impossible to pull off a deal.

I wonder if Nuggs execs are in this meeting? For the Knicks to "Win" the Nuggs must lose

No way we let Dolan attend this meeting by himself. I don't even want him there at all..Much rather it be Donnie..And you know what, D'Antoni should be there as well -- sorry buddy, I know you wanted the time off but suck it up, jump on a plane and fly out there (I could picture bitchin about that)...Whatever they do, STAT's presence is an absolute MUST--he's gonna be there anyway..That's huge...Let Prokhorov bring Brook Lopez to his meeting. Only got one crack at this, I'd like to leave an impression...

If Melo wants to win there is no way he's going to the Nyets. If "The I want to win and it's not about the money." is a load of bull than welcome to NJ/Brooklyn.

It's always about the money, CashMoney. Which is why he will resign with Denver.

Why does the article say that they'll be discussing the merits of Landry Fields? Is Anthony very impressed with the guy or something? I'll say this. That's a very interesting backcourt: Felton, Fields and Anthony. You can stick Fields on the better offensive player and he can easily feed off Melo as well. I can go for that.

Just hope that they fix Donnie up so he does not look as feeble as when LeBron saw him...seem to recall that the difference between Prokorhov and Donnie was talked about at the time.

Donnie needs some good make-up, a dress-over, some platform shoes to make him seem taller, and some "vitamins" to perk him up. He also has to ditch the cane if he is still using one.

An orange tie would also be a nice touch.

Why should it matter what Walsh looks like? If I'm Melo, I'm more concerned with What Amare's looking like on the court and his measurements read:

6'10, 240lbs
26 pts
9 rbs and 2 blks. There is no one on the the Nyets that look as attractive.

I'm more concerned about Donnie being allowed to do his job at this point.

I can't see it happening. He's getting moved and I think it will happen right before the deadline.

Hogwash. It's not about the money, it's about the legacy and the rings. It's not like this will be his last payday. Over the next ten years he will earn well over $150 million dollars just in salary. It ain't about the money.

if there really is a meeting scheduled between Dolan & Melo i'm gonna assume he wants clarification on whether this deal will get done or not so he can start to consider other options... if i were Melo i'd be getting sick of the waiting game by now, he's already laid his chips out on the table with trip Aces & the Knicks are still waiting on an inside straight draw to come through on the river.

I think he wants to hear directly from the Knicks, how serious they are in trying to aquire him now. Two of the worse kept secrets in this thing are: 1. Melo wants to play for the Knicks and 2. He wants his extention aswell. I think Melo might believe the Knicks are being to 'lax because they think they can just sign Melo in the summer. Obviously, Melo doesn't want that. The face to face is necessary for the Knicks to let him know whats up and how its the Nuggs that dont want to deal with the Knicks. I feel this meeting is a good thing for us.

This is so maddening, exciting, gut wrenching....can't wait for a conclusion but this is fun. I think what makes this more fun than LeBron is that I never really thought he was coming here. When Miami confirmed the signing of Bosh is when I initially got excited that LeBron might come to NY, but before that I really didn't buy it. I REALLY think Melo ends up a Knick by our game against Mil. or Clev.

I've been telling you that Melo is not gonna agree to sign with the Nets and he'll force Denver to take the Knicks deal. This is not stressful IMO. Why worry about it. Donnie and Dolan want this done now and they can make it happen. The Knick meeting will be more like a party than a real meeting. They can make their little pact to agree to force Denver to deal with NY and refuse to sign with NJ. It's that simple. Denver has come too far to go back now and try to pull a fast one. They're gonna trade Melo now and it's gonna be to NY where Melo has always wanted to go.
