You pay what the market is. THere is no market for melo.
IF the Lakers want to send Bynum and Denver really wants him then it trumps us.
Donnie then gets a chance to beat the offer if it better fits Denvers needs.
What does bynum do? He becomes the centerpiece of Denver. In a wing oriented league your best player is a low post expensive player who is injury prone. Other than Shaq and DHoward there are no bigs anymore.
Denver wants to cut salary and rebuild. Is Bynum your guy? Ok, maybe they do a three way.
I like the starphuch of Melo on the lakes but they lose a huge piece of what gets them over the top. Lakes have luxury like the Yankees of resting him for the playoff run. Bynum makes them huge and he enhances what Pau is about.
Melo is not Kobe and perhaps would be a good soldier to Kobe being the Alphadog on that team.
Melo to Lakes, I get it. Bynum knees go bad Denver is cooked. Denver would put more on bynums shoulders and play him more than he does on Lakes and it would not wear well.
Bynum to Denver I don't get. Bynum in THree way is a different story. Bynum to Warriors, Melo to Lakes, and Stepp Curry to Denver makes sense.
Gallo to Denver makes sense but Denver eventually has to pay him too and he will get big offers from Europe if he don't like being on rebuilding cheap ass organization in a city he don't want to be in. Denver is very appealing to people that ski. 6-10 probasketball players don't hit the slopes.
