I getting tired with this love fest for gallo you got to think his teamates are not happy with this line up change. I am so sick and tired of gallo getting special treatment from dantoni that is not good for the team at all.

Who of the two Gallo/Chandler do people think is more of a shooter?

Gallo shoots 41 percent overall and 38 percent from three point range and wilson chandler shoots around 48 percent overall and 35 percent from three point range.

Chandler kind of fell into a slump the last 4-5 games--and with MDA that is reason to terminate:) Thats fine Im glad he believes in playing the two bigs--it really doesnt matter who starts gallo or WC.

While I am inclined to agree with you:

The worst unit on a good team has been the Knicks' Raymond Felton, Landry Fields, Danilo Gallinari, Amar'e Stoudemire and Ronny Turiaf, which has been outscored by 6.5 points per 100 possessions in 108 minutes.

Basically, what MDA sees is that we need a C for Amare to be effective. He also needs better spacing for Amare to operate. This move is basically geared to jump start Amare's efficiency. Wilson going to the bench also enhances our 2nd unit. Take out you Gallo hate...Can't you guys see that this is a basketball move and not about a love affair with Gallo?

I can't believe my thread was locked even though it was 2 minutes earlier. The powers that be are against me and my pro-Carmelo agenda.......

PS...I like this move. Chandler is going to be great for us off the bench....again.

People can't get out of the high school mindset that everytime a guy goes to the bench it is a demotion. D'Antoni said nothing of Gallo playing better or being a better player then Wilson. He said he was bringing Wilson off the bench because "he brings more firepower" and that it may shake Gallo's confidence whereas Wilson will not be affected.

The sixth man role IS AS IMPORTANT as any of the starting roles. This is why the championship San Antonio Spurs had no problem moving Ginobli to sixth man role in 06-07 and 07-08. Now did they make this move because they wanted to balance their team and have a great player provide energy and lead the second unit? Or did they make this move because Popovich was a stupid, stupid coach that had a silly love affair with Bruce Bowen and Michael Finley?

Stats aside, who would a player pay more attention to as far as range?

MAYBE IT could be the knicks need a SG who can acutally shoot and score points in bunches.. since we are not a team that will stop guys from scoring. I love fields, but he is not a shooter or scorer... maybe bringing him off the bench as well would be a great thing, and get in a SG who can stretch the floor and score..

i agree w/this move... i think that's the most balanced roster we have & gives us the most depth... Wilson is still going to see around 30 minutes a night anyway... just because he doesn't get his name announced at the beginning of games is not going to effect his play... Gallo has tended to wait to get into the flow before he starts looking for his shots, so he's a better fit to be starting over Wilson for now... Turiaf starting at the 5 gives us better interior D & puts Amare back at his natural PF spot where he's most comfortable.

After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

is that quoting Dantoni or something you made up?

D'Antoni could have pulled Danilo Gallinari from the lineup for Turiaf but the coach apparently was afraid to shake the Italian Stallion's confidence.

"A lot of reasons, a lot of discussions,'' D'Antoni said. "I don't want to play it out in the papers.

"Wilson has come off the bench. It hasn't affected him. You don't know if it will affect the other guys. Also Wilson comes in with a lot of firepower. And the biggest reason is it worked before and looked like everyone was OK with it.''

Do I ever just make stuff up TKF? I don't need to make stuff up to prove my points. My points prove themselves. You've been posting with me long enough to know this. Exact Quote should have been "comes in with a lot of firepower"

Fields is the trade off for not having good rebounding front line.

SMH. So D'Antoni babies Gallo and lets Randolph rot on the bench.

This is exactly how coaches lose the respect of players.
