Marcus Camby will be the fifth Trail Blazer to undergo knee surgery this season, after it was discovered the center has a partial tear in the meniscus in his left knee, The Oregonian reported.

Camby injured the knee Monday against Minnesota and had an MRI on Tuesday. The initial report from the team was that the MRI came back negative, but more careful analysis revealed the injury. Camby will have the surgery later this week. It’s unclear when he will be able to return to action.

Sounds like a random occurrence. If he was on our team, he wouldn't have been playing Minn on Monday and the injury wouldn't have happened.

I don't know about that Bonn1997, he is getting on in years. Something like this is a big reason why some of us were against a trade.

Its the Blazers curse.

This is the Camby we all know and loved. Guy is 37 and them starter minutes are adding up.

Oden looks older.

On the other hand anyone see Grant Hill Monday? Dude looks 25! Playing great also.

Good he did not come here last year as it would have stifled Wilson's progress.

Yeah I agree with that but it's not inevitable that the injury would have happened. I'd still love to have him on the team for next year.

there was a study done that older players don't get injured more often but it takes longer for recovery... on average...

of course, the more you play the greater chance of injury all things being equal...

It seems as if Allen & Dolan are going dutch on the same medical staff.

The Knicks should just copy everything Phoenix's medical staff does...just get some intel from Amare & Pringles.

Im not happy he is injured btw. Im just saying he is always hurt. Even when he was a Clipper he was frequently injured.

This is why I wasn't gung ho about him because you cant depend on him being available in the playoffs.

i feel the same way, I always love camby's game, but it has always been "CAN BE" with him...
