![]() MSG3 wrote:Keep Chandler. Love Gallo but Wil is better. Better slasher. Good 3pt and mid range game. Good D. Ideal 6th man. Has played 3 positions well. Exactly!! Why keep a 3 point specialist when you already have two guys that can stroke it better in Walker and Williams? This just gets better and better. |

![]() I'd prefer to keep Chandler because of his D. In any case, no way I want to give up Fields. His Wins Produced is through the roof.
Rose is not the answer.

Well yea....if I just said that Bill Walker and Shawn Williams were both better than Gallo that would be pretty dumb. But name one guy we can just pick up that can replace what Wilson does. My point was that in my view Gallo's biggest strength is his J since he has no post up moves whatsoever. He's also not as good a defender as Chandler. He gets to the rim and draws fouls, but not consistently. Someone make an argument what Gallo brings to the table that Wilson doesn't besides just saying Gallo is better. My argument is that Wilson brings more. Doesn't mean I don't like Gallo or that I think Williams and Walker are better than him. |

the choice is easy for me.. gallo can and is getting 15ppg on just 10 shots.. melo is going to cut into everyone's shots... give me gallo.. He gets to the rim and draws fouls, but not consistently. haha.. he shoots 5.5 FTs per game.. second to only amare on the knicks.... are you kidding me? not consistent? ![]() I would give up either one in a Melo trade if that got the deal done, but I would probably hold onto Gallo if given the option.
I hate the fact that these debates resort to taking shots at either Gallo or Wilson to prove the other ones case. Wilson has been terrific this year and has been as consistent as anyone else on the team. I just think Gallo brings more to the table in outside threat and ability to get to the basket and the line. He just hasn't been consistent with deciding when to shoot or when to drive, but I'm in the camp that believes the consistency will come as he continues develop, in what is now a winning environment. He's been solid all year on defense and moving the ball on offense, and when he gets that consistency, I really do believe he will make that jump into all star. Our only problem here is we have two good players and may have to give one up for a great player. Either way, I'm going to trust Donnie's judgment on this one. |
