It's true and kind of ironic. We see how good we are when Turiaf is playing well (we beat a good team on the road soundly when our best player was sub-par), we know that Turiaf doesn't have it in him to play that well consistently, so his good play proves that we need an upgrade.

Priorities: rebounding, man-to-man post d, enough offensive skills to not disrupt our flow and keep opponents honest. Notice what's not included. Doesn't need to be a shot blocker/great help defender. Amare and Wilson can do that. Doesn't need to be a scorer, just not a stiff.

I haven't watched Jordan, but if he's as good as you're making him out to be, I'm all in with him and picking up O.J. Mayo, and passing on Melo.

I have ZERO problem if our entire offseason = resigning Chandler and bringing in Jordan. If Turiaf opts out I think he's a great bench/chemistry guy and you still have Mosgov working hard and earning praise of the coaches.

You add either OJ Mayo or maybe Luke Ridnour to that as well and I'd sign up.

Say the Melo to the Nets trade does go down.

Would people think about offering AR and Curry for Nene immediately?

I may be the only one but I hope the Nets get CA. We dont need him and I dont want to giveaway any core player--I just want to add a quality C and better depth for the future--thats it.

if we're trying to make a run this year (and beyond) - i think adding Nene and OJ Mayo might be possible and could potentially add a lot more to this team than Melo, when you consider the cost of adding Melo.

I am looking at the UFA list for this summer and one name that I noticed was Josh McRoberts. I am not familiar with his game but his draft overview was pretty good. He was drafted in the 2nd round by the Blazers then traded to the Pacers. He seems like an MDA type player in that he is a very athletic 6'10" player.

BRIGGS - Did you follow this guy in college? Would he be a good cheap sign in the off-season? A low risk high reward type move?

But Deandre Jordon isn't an unrestricted free agent - he isn't listed as one. He falls under the Gilbert Arenas rule I believe, just like Fields does. I believe a team can offer him only up to the MLE or something like that, but his team can do it for longer - I forget how it works.

No way do the Clippers not match on him. If you think they are worried about Kaman, think again, he only has one more year left. Their team salary will be quite low after both Kaman and then Baron is off. It will be 50 million next year and drops all the way to 19 million the year after. They only have next year to worry about with salaries and would surely dump other players in order to retain Jordon if money is an issue.

Josh has done a really good job changing his body and becoming more athletic. He's not a starter, but he'd be good fit coming off the bench. He's a good passer and decentthree point shooter and rebounder.

Did you say PF, he fits right in the MDA mold. Jordan won't see the light of day with MDA.

^I would have to agree. McRoberts looks like the proto-typical SSOL C/PF. Kid who can jump and run and hit outside shots with a decent handle.

he's really not... he's OK as an athletic big body off the bench, but he sucks at defensive recognition & clueless on offense.

Sometimes I question if you even watch basketball--have you seen the Clippers play in the last couple of weeks?

i watched practically their entire season last year... i think i've seen enough of him to formulate an educated opinion... every player in the NBA can look great over a short stretch... Turiaf looked like a monster last night, do u think that's gonna continue over the long haul?... Deandre Jordan is a very athletically gifted big with great finishing ability around the rim & rebounding skills & has some good upside, but he's also as yet very raw, has no polished offensive game & his defensive recognition is nowhere near where it should be to consider him a viable starting option on a championship contender IMO... feel free to disagree but trust me i wouldn't even comment on this kid if i haven't seen him play enough to formulate my opinions.

Youre right hes raw offensively yet also leading the NBA in FG%. Just like we saw with turiaf last night--put a player who can finish in the position to finish and they will score double digits easy. Deandre Jordan on this team would average 13-13-4 65% is that a starting quality C?
