Gotta say...the old man has done good.

+'s
Dolan has become a non factor
Zeke, although he tries to be relevant is still a non factor
dumped Randolph when no-one thought he could
Dumped Crawford
Banished Marbury/got rid of Jerome James
Managed to keep his coaches head in the game with a garbage roster of rental players and 2 years of a losing record w/o any quick fixes
Managed to keep the NY media relatively positive
Got us in the game for the best F.A. class ever and came out with 2 stars who by all accounts so far, look to be more tough minded and gritty with outstanding leadership than NY had expected
Has managed the Curry situation nicely w/o creating drama and holding onto his expiring contract for use as a Melo chip.
We still maintain cap flexibility going into a new CBA
Has put together a winning team with great chemistry
We are just a few pieces away from glory and have the cap flexibility to aquire said pieces and keep our young talent

Only minus i can think of is losing our draft picks to dump Jeffries and some questionable draft picks...although he has made up for it with the drafting of Fields in the 2nd rd and signing Felton makes me not miss the possibility of having selected Jennings.

The mess he inherited

stop talking that jive man....

Dear Donnie,

I would just like to thank you for giving me this opportunity to explain my side of things. Like I said this past January, my goal is and has always been to leave behind a championship legacy, and I truly believe we are heading in that direction and I plan to prove that to you here. By the way, all that “Please call me Mr. Walsh” stuff was hilarious, a great ice breaker.

what...not even a towel for me...no love for the truckberry..dahum!

rofl! Where did all this nap stuff come from with Donnie? Is it just because he's old or did he mention napping somewhere and guys ran with it?

A couple of his harshest critics (I wont mention their names) said he was taking naps as a result of his age when they felt he had opportunities to do trades that they would have done. It was actually kind of funny but also getting kind of old (No pun intended) b/c they were doing it all the time.

Can't let Donnie get off that easy...

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Jordan Hill was a bad pick, but I'm still not convinced of Jennings.

The team with more Italy contacts than anyone else let the pick and roll PG slip past them. Still bothers me.

Certainly nice work since then though, especially since Isiah tried to push his way in the door and he's gone through the hip surgery stuff. Knicks almost seem stable now.

The Tim Thomas trade for Larry Hughes was terrible and worked against the coach last season.

Gallo the Jury is still out. Eric Gordon is a big time player and Lopez would have been a nice pick at the center spot. Jordan Hill was a disgrace (Jennings, Holiday, Lawson, Collison) that's a lot of point guards to pass over. Blair would have been nice to take a flyer on and that's from anyone that watched the big east.

But massive credit is due for Fields and Douglas. Amare has been a monster and was a great move I think he actually suprised Walsh and everyone with just how good he is. Felton was a great move by Walsh especially the way he structure the contract. (Amazing that Jordan is the best player ever but know nothing about the game from a talent standpoint - maybe the worst drafter the game has ever seen)

Culture is a tough thing to change and Donnie has done that.

The old man even in a wheel chair boxed out Isiah's return to the garden!

No GM is perfect but Donnie is playing this hand very well.

We have options.

For now in half a season he has bought relevance to the knicks.

Thats a start.

I'm gonna name someone - or something - after him if he gets us a championship.
The new new core: Randle, RJ, IQ. Maybe Mitch. Future pick. Future trade. Future FA.
