And what we all know is NY is a destination and I can envision a day when Grant Hill type players who know they don't have starters minutes in them anymore can come to finish the career on broadway in a supporting role. Im not talking Joe Smith Either!
man you said it... Chandler is bringing 90% of what Melo brings at 1/3 the price. When you look at Chandler's play, how he's progressed, the skills he's developed, his attitude, his athleticism... his upside is very high. All Chandler does is what he's asked and all he does is deliver.
Wilson... we need you to play SG. No problem
Wilson... we need you to play PF. No problem
Wilson... we need you to come off the bench. No problem
Lucky for us Walsh is not as enamored with shiney new toys as some around here and he will bring Chandler back.
As for Amare not wanting him? Not sure I subscribe to that, but I think Amare feels he can win with the players we have. He like Walsh probably thinks we just need time to gel and maybe a big body to help out.
Chandler is turning into a stud. Fields is turning into a stud nobody saw that coming). Williams is turning into a legit rotation player and a good one. Gallo has been inconsistant but still played well. Douglas has been much better of late and Turiaf continues to play very well for stretches.
Knicks are improving from within and doing so in big strides. All we need to do is be patient and enjoy the winning
