This is one heckuva prospect for us to look at for what we need. If he plays anywhere near this level--his FA stature will be well above Anthony by end of year. It is hard to find athletes who can produce games of 14 points 20 rebounds 6 blocks and 4 assists---at 22 years old. Im not basing this off one game either although this was impressive--this guy has been coming on for awhile now and with increased PT is taking it to the next level. Would D'Antoni be able to play him? MDA doesn't get along with everyone- and he sounds like an athlete first, and D'Antoni doesn't always mix well with guys that aren't able to understand his system. I mean, we already have AR who theoretically could be putting up similar numbers, but isn't playing. Check out this quote from Jordan: http://articles.latimes.com/2011/jan/03/sports/la-sp-clippers-fyi-20110104 "I see a guy driving and, as soon as he lets the ball go, I come over late," Jordan said. "All I have to do is take one step and I can be across the paint." I'd love to get him- but a better bet for us might be to swap Curry for Kaman and hope he can stay healthy for the rest of this year and next. |
