The way Chandler has elevated his game this season - maybe we have our second star already (not counting Felton here). Watch him step up in Gallinari's absence. I recall Clyde saying last year to watch out for Chandler, he believed in him big-time. Clyde about got it right - don't see how we give up Chandler at this point, he's a legit 2-way guy.
The new new core: Randle, RJ, IQ. Maybe Mitch. Future pick. Future trade. Future FA.

He definitely has become much more than a role player, but i still don't see him every becoming as good as Melo, or any of the other superstar forwards in the league. I see a Shawn Marion type, the third best player on a good team as his peak. Hopefully Denver does not want him because of his upcoming free agency and we can resign him. I still see him as a great 6th man for this team as it becomes a championship contender.

Let's hope Walsh didn't **** this up like he did with Lee. Know what you have, lock it up before you have to over pay. This kid is 23 years old and getting better by the game.

No reason to trade for Melo if Wilson keeps improving. Leave the diva in Denver this kid is understated and ready to take over. He is already one of the more versatile players in the league, one of the stronger players in the league and one of the better finishers out there.

The Mayor continues to grow as a basketball player who simply does his job

The beauty is that he is developing subtle aspects of his passing game to go alon with his shot and playing with Amare has got to be a blast

and he stays in character, no matter what

what's not to like?

Chandler is a legit 3rd option on a championship level team. Funny how Chandler slides to the three and still doesn't have trouble finding shots.

And to think, it was only three years ago when many of us were lamenting the loss of Trevor Ariza Good thing the Trailblazers aref ull of themselves and didn't accept that trade offer for Rudy Fernandez.

Shawn Marion in his prime? If that is the case he should be considered almost untradeable.

Add Nene to this team. He's a free agent. Add him for free in the summer.

Felton
Fields
Wilson
Amar'e
Nene

That team competes with anyone and can win a ring. In all seriousness.

thanks for keeping some perspective.. everyone had a great game tonight.. hell even fields broke out of his slump... chandler had some good looks tonight... spurs didn't matchup that well, suprisingly.... people are talking star about a guy who can't dribble and look up at the same time.. he had a very good game, but lets pump the brakes a bit..

He played great tonight, no doubt about it.

Looks like he's ready to explode from his shell some nights. That's the frustrating thing about this kid; he needs to stay assertive.

Hearing those remarks about how he was in the gym on New Years Eve was jaw-dropping. Just wanting to get up some shots and continue working on his game.

Dude really makes me wanna forget Melo sometimes ;)

Yep, he keeps this up, and he is the 2nd option and the go to swing player when Amare can't get the ball in a good spot. Keep him and trade for a C instead of Melo then.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

I'd rather have Wilson, Fields + Nene than just Melo, if the dollars and such give you either option. And I agree - that lineup can take anyone!

To be fair, you've been pumping the brakes on Chandler all year regardless of how good a game he has. Even when you try to give Chandler credit as you did in the game thread, you always seem to nitpick some part if his game(lol at him getting ripped by Blair.) Was that even necessary? It seems your posts about Chandler are reactionary towards any negativity Gallo might receive.

"he had a very good game, but lets pump the brakes a bit..."

Pump the brakes if you like tkf. That is your choice.

As The Mayor's Campaign Manager I say shake and pop a cold one... and spray your closest neighbor.

The Knicks just beat the best team in the league and if you cannot celebrate the team performance led by Chandler, you will be waiting for a better game all season.
