This is why when you haev a good team like the Knicks who can compete against anyone--you go as hard as you can to make those improvements to the bench --we never know what could happen to amare and injuries like this makes the east wide open. I thought KG beyond stats was an MVP type candidate this year.

Well we will know the extent of the injury when he gets his MRI. Getting injured with ZERO contact is never good.

Sounds like KG got double-teamed by Father Time and Karma.

shouldn't the argument be that you go harder after a guy that can carry the offense in case your other big guy goes down? the Celtics are still in good shape w/Pierce & Ray Allen... enough to get to the playoffs... if Amare goes down we're back to being a lottery team again IMO... getting a couple bench players is not gonna save us in that situation.

Actually I thought the complete opposite. This is why when you have a good team that's reliant on one star, you get him a second star.

Unless we get a big who is capable of scoring 20 points beyond amare--no player could help the team win. What teams wins with no big man? An additional quality big man should be the number 1 priority beyond making the bench better.

Sucks for KG and Boston. Another way of looking at it is not simply that you never know what could happen to Amare but you never know what could happen to our opponents either. The Heat look better than us now but that could easily change if Lebron or Wade got injured in a series against us.

Ironic how KG hurts himself against Detroit after he said what he said about Charlie Villanueva.

Wow, that looks bad. I wonder if its his his achilles. He planted and then when he landed he landed on the side that wasn't hurt. I hope he is ok.

Well, he grabbed at his knee. Supposedly the x-rays on his knee were negative. Maybe it's just jumper's knee (tendonitis). Or perhaps a worst case would be cartilage damage (maybe he's joined the Brandon Roy - formerly Tim Hardaway - school of bone on bone). His knee didn't seem to wobble side to side - so prolly not an ACL/MCL sprain.

That and a couple unicorns and we're set.

20 point bigs grow on trees and I'm guessing they won't require us to trade anybody on our team.

Still trying to figure out this talking point.

If we get a big that can score 20 points and keep our team in tact?

I'd rather say, if we can get melo and keep our team intact.

Do the heat have this magical 20 point big?

Let's go Knicks. That's amare

all nba players at this point of the game should be required to wear knee braces. i been thinking about that for a bit. they are so light and provide just enough stiffness to not torque the knees at an odd angle. while providing flexibility to run, jump, and cut to the basket.

Can you think of a player we should try to get?

fishmike with the chris bosh in the face post. yes bosh is that big. overshadowed by his superfriends, Lewade. which makes him a silent assassin. oh who grabbed that put back for two? bosh. who is maintaining the lead Lewade got? bosh. who racks up 20 points a game? bosh.
