Rumors have it that he is being shopped around. Guys this is the guy the Knicks should target because he fit MDA style of play. I'm down for a Gallo for Blatche trade. He would give the Knicks the much needed Center/PF that MDA can utilize in his system. I don't see McGee as a player that MDA can use probably goes the way of Randolph and Mozgov in this system.

He supposedly has a 'toxic personality', and we've had more than our fair share of those over the past decade- so no thanks! As for McGee (though they want something good for him, whereas they apparantly just want rid of Blatche)- haven't seen much of him (only those two terrible failed dunks on you tube) but I remember a few people on these boards liked him. Not sure D'Antoni would accept having a proper C and moving A'mare back to PF though, like Vmart said.

Forget Blatche. He'd be a Debbie Downer for this squad. He lacks intensity and effort. Trade Gallo for him? Simply ridiculous.

If Blatche would play hard--he would be one of the better players in the post becasue he has a lot of talent. The thing is is it the team's culture or the player--my gut tells me both. His body needs to get harder and his intensity has to go up 2-3 notches--then you would aheva nice player. Im not worried about how many shotblcoks a guy has--if you are 6-11 260 and agile--all you need is intensity and effort to play good D.

I think you are right. I think there is a strong core of veteran leaders in Amare, Felton and Turiaf that would help with a guy like Blatche. I also think maybe the Knicks should take a run at Sean Williams. He is putting up monster numbers in the d-league, and would be a no risk, high reward pick up. I think this team has the character now to venture out and try to take on a talent that might have been a malcontent or troubled in the past. I thought that there was no way Shawn Williams would work out and I am pretty sure he wouldn't have last year.

Blatche = talented but dumb, doesn't play with passion, bit of a headcase. not a big fan.

- rebound
- contribute to the team first, move the ball, hustle attitude this squad has.

these are NOT Blatche's strengths. he's a good shooter.

I'd love Andray for my fantasy team, but that's about it. We've spent the last couple years clearing our locker room from headaches like Blatche.

I'd assume give AR minutes before bringing in Andray. He still has to earn them first, but he doesn't have nearly the same baggage.

Blatche is like Charlie Villanueva. He probably shouldn't start on most halfway decent teams, but he'd be a heck of an offensive spark off the bench. But like many of you have already stated, he doesn't fill an immediate need for us right now.
