do we have the pieces for a trade for Telfair? What could we give that they would want that matches up?

Option B) could we get Telfair and Minny's 1st round pick......what would it cost and what would they want?

Telfair is like Steph, only a much worse player. I do not want him on this team, under any circumstances. He's not the backup we need.

Do we have the pieces to prevent you from creating bad threads?

what would u want to offer? other than guys like Mason Jr., Rautins or Bill Walker, i wouldn't want to give up anyone else for Telfair... i'd sooner steer clear of any links to Marbury in any way, shape or form... just a bad cloud that hangs over that name.

haha...seriously, the kid has some skills...is cheap and on the last year of his contract. this is the kind of non-cost move the knicks could look at. it could cost nothing and who knows, with felton and amare's leadership...the kid, now 25 years old, could help fill a need with 10-15 minutes off the bench...good ball handler with excellent court vision and can also score inside

and if it doesn't work...he's gonzo at the end of the year. but....looking at salaries, it hard to match anything up....so i ask the brain trust here what would it take to get it done?

cheers

yes ny has the pieces, there's a bunch of dnp players to put on the table. if donnie could wiggle away a pick too that would be sweet. either way i hope the trade happens sooner than later.

if you get telfair, then that means marbury will be at the garden watchin his cousin play...i bet he'll be there regularly too since he doesnt have a bballl job anymore and he likes to be provacative.

is telfair worth having marbury back in our house? i think not.

Much rather go get Brevin Knight, Anthony Johnson, or Jason Williams.

Please nothing that has to do with Marbury. Next thing you know Thomas will be brought in to mentor him. Just say no to drugs.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

wouldn't signing a player at 35 years old be like rolling the dice....would seem they would be injury prone and a few steps slow...no?

Steve Blake would have been good. I was jealous that the lakers got him
Rose is not the answer.

what are u risking tho? a minimum salary contract & a roster spot? if he doesn't work out u cut him, nothing lost... unless u can get Telfair for a guy we're not using like a Roger Mason, Rautins or Walker, is it worth it? he's making $2.7M & you'd likely have to cough up at least a serviceable player that's currently a part of our rotation like a Shawne Williams, no? i wouldn't give up anyone in our rotation or even AR to get Telfair at this point.

agreed with dat! but telfair does have the potential of upside...i would not give up even 1 rotation player for him though. i would however like to see what he could do under mda given 10-15 minutes regularly...just not sure what kind of deal would work...numbers don't match up...but i guess you could do cash? something like walker, mason or rautins and cash? if we send two players for one...someone would have to be cut...azubuike makes more then telfair, so that wouldn't work either....not sure how a deal works here is all i'm asking

....and if you enlarge the deal...could we get a 1st round pick which could likely be a lottery pick cuz nothing we are giving is gonna make them better this year...something like telfair and a 1st rounder for.(what?)

do we have the pieces for a trade for Telfair?
