i know jeff van gundy is making that easy money as a commentator. but if he got a call from donnie asking to give it another go for new york, will he say yes? i think he loves the knicks that much to say yes.

I don't think we need JVG over MDA. We need another offensive player and a decent defensive big. This is not an elite team, its an incomplete team.

I think he had conflicts with Dolan that would prevent him from ever returning. I would love if he did. I haven't been this excited about the Knicks since he coached them. This is a very likeable team and I hope they figure out away to give their top 6 guys some rest.

i understand. but i am looking it with a point of view that mda has been out-coached last three games.

four dnp's again, starters going over 40 minutes again. all for a losing effort.

mda needs to practice his timeouts, rotation, and play calls.

JVG wouldn't want to coach this team as it is. This team was put together with Mike in mind. We don't have what we need to hold teams defensively and I think we have to wait on Donnie to bring in more help. This is an offensive team and if we have an off night scoring we'll struggle to win games. How would JVG do with a team like this? I'm not that confident he'd do well with this current team.

it was so long ago i would hope that it's water under the bridge for dolan.

as for giving our top five rest, when i hear mda speak he just doesnt get it, he says stuff like i will give them more days off. smh. not rest after the game is over, rest em during the game mda; to keep the starters fresh enough to put games away.

You're overrating what we have on our bench. Sure you can play guys but that doesn't mean they'll always put you over the hump. Look at what happened tonight when we played TD at the point. Things went down fast. Exactly who do we have off the bench that is as productive as Verajao in the middle?

I am not a D'Antoni fan and my smug reply to that is, maybe that is how he justifies 45 minute practices but I am not sure if that is happening anymore.

look what coach spo did he damn near gave everyone minutes including the tower boy (i joke i joke). when you play chess you use every piece for the win, even your pawns. in a similar way coach doc did same constantly rotating his players. so when it came down to bring out pierce the knick killa it was a wrap.

I think you are underrating what we have on the bench. MDA got to change his ways and trust.

mda problem in past seasons he was looking for a winning rotation. problem solved. mda has his top five winners. the new mda problem is how do you pepper in the rest of the team to always keep your top five fresh that is a problem mda has not solved.

Decision making of some of the starters today was totally low IQ or lazy. They could not create any big lead so that the bench can try and show up but even that the bench was not good. TD was usual out of control lately. Shawne was probably the only bench player that was playing the system.

it was neither its called, tired. felton jacked up a lot of shots without looking to pass. it was just tired play all around.

and no you dont wait for a big lead to include your bench, you include them from beginning of game to end. walsh did not hand mda a bunch of scrubs, they are all serviceable, to help our top five guys win.

how?

we have no one on the bench that is that is able to perform.

randolph? ha

mozgov? ha

who you wanna see come in the game?

how about gallo taking bad shots, and some other bad choices on the court.

Call it tired but here is gallos stat:

D. Gallinari(notes) 39:03 FG 3-14 3PT 1-10 FT 0-0

I am a big time supporter of gallo but you kidding me 0-0 free throw and 1-10 3pt thats not smart to me.

Williams and fields were doing their best to follow the system and it showed in the game. But others were just going through the day like "I don't feel like doing anything today" job. No energy at all at this game.
