he does that in the miami game, for four quarters, who can answer that in miami? you foul him he will torch you on the line. you let him into the lane he will (finally) finish strong. you let him park at the arc, swish. it was the gallo show second half of boston game.

Melo makes 18 mil a year and COULD cost us the depth ANY team needs to win.

Gallo is 22 years old and a work in progress. Melo is a polished complete "all-Star".

Expectaions are higher with Melo. His game will be disected because of it.

Gallo gave up hard shots so others could get easier ones. Gallo plays within the context of a team where Melo is (asked) to be more isolation.

No one said it was bad what he did. It was great that he showed he can contribute when his shot is not falling.

The point was Carmelo gets criticized for doing the EXACT same thing. Remember Carmelo is plays the Amare Stoudemire role on his team.

We've seen clips of Anthony appearing not to care at ALL on defense. Flat out lack of effort.

Show me a clip of Gallo lolly-gagging on defense.

Melo commands a salary of 15-20M. Gallo is getting paid $3-$5M.

If Melo put in the effort that Gallo did on defense, he has the physical tools to be 2nd or possibly 1st team all NBA on defense.

Watch a Denver game. Pay really close attention to Melo on defense. Tell me you're not seeing what countless DENVER FANS themselves have complained about...

BTW, did any Boston player play good D last night? Last time I checked Knicks starters were all a plus in the +/- except Felton. And you know what.... All Boston starters were in the minus expect Pierce who was zero.

And that vaunted Boston defense just gave up 125 points on 100 possessions, about 25 more points than they usually do per 100 possession.

You brought up Carmelo's poor defense. So I assume you mean Gallo's defense is equivalent or better.

Why are you going off on a tangent about Boston's defense? Pierce went off on us and Gallo was guarding him most of the night anyway.
