I was dating a girl in college that I was really in to. My friends would ask me how things were going and I would tell them that I think she is the one for me and that I've never met a better girl. Then my current wife came along and told me that she was interested in me. I dropped that other girl the same day. This is very similar to your relationship with Anthony Randolph.

Other then the above, this is not a bad idea. Not sure I'm sold on Landry as our other big guy. I think we need someone that is a designated rebounder if we really want to get over the hump. From what I know of Landry that's not one of his strengths.

But you said that you dumped the girl (Randolph) to marry your wife, and yet you don't agree? Wait a sec, maybe I get it now. I think we need an "Alert Bips Wife" button.

No I was just trying to point out how quickly Briggs dumped his former girlfriend(Randolph). A year ago GM's should have been fired for not drafting the guy, now Briggs can't get rid of him fast enough.

I see no real use for Carl Landry.

I'd try and flip Randolph for a 2012 pick, not a 2011 one. a) 2012 may be more valuable since a lot of draft prospects might not even declare this year; and b) owning a 2012 pick gives us the flexibility to trade our 2011 and 2013 pick again.

well if your wife's father said his daughter wasnt ready to get married, maybe you may understand brigg's situation.

briggs is thumbs-up on ar, mda is not, well there you have it.. briggs can either pine for ar, or move on.

My wife wasn't ready to get married when I dumped the other girl. I just remained patient and waited until she was ready. I remained patient becasue I thought she was worth it. If she wasn't worth it I would have traded her asse too.

I still think Bip regrets dumping that girl for his wife.

Funny anecdote, and you're right, it's really similar to BRIGGS' "relationship" with Randolph. Still, he's right: If we can convert the non-playing AR into OJ Mayo, it's a slam dunk. Much as I like what AR could bring to us, he is too much of a project for a win now team.

The only regret I have about marrying my wife was that stupid dog(god rest his soul) that she brought along with her to our marriage.

Back to the topic at hand. I understand where Briggs is going and I don't disagree with his logic at all. I think the trades he mentioned above make us a better team. I'm just picturing something different up front. I think Carl is rugged and will do well on a winning team, but I want more beast up front. I want someone that can not only look a Nene/Shaq/Love in the eye, but also knock them on the asse, while also ripping a rebound out of their hands. Now I'm too lazy to look around the league to see who fits that mold, so I'm expecting you guys too. When I think of our front line, I'm thinking of getting protectors for Amare. Guys that can do all the banging inside so Amare can be more rested in the 4th quarters(that he is already dominating) and doesn't have to play ole defense because he's in foul trouble. I want championship Detroit like length and toughness. I'm talking old school Dice and Wallace or the Davis brother types in Indiana. Are guys like this realistically available. Again, I leave that up to you guys to do that research and report back to me.

However, if you get a 2 Dice types, or 1 dice type and Mozgov develops then you are really looking at a top tier team in my view. And that's without Melo.

Briggs - the fact that you are dropping AR in every trade proposal you come up with really really hurts your credibility.

You were so far up ARs butt cheeks prior to us getting him and now you've given him up in 100 different scenarios.

I like an AR / Mayo deal but just weird seeing it from you.

I tend to still believe in Randolph and think he'll flourish at the right time and definitely in another system that doesn't require the four to sit at the 3 point line all day.

I was dating an all star girl who was puttin up some real nice statistics at the time. On goal % was high and 3 pt conversions led the league. Pick and roll, Give and go, and ran a great low post.

When I met (my current wife)I was not looking at rebuilding at that time. When you get a chance to make a great deal somtimes you have to look to the future. I didn't think I could win a champhionship with the other.

She was a few years younger and needed some time to develop and show me she could run the system. When the rookie contract was up I signed her to a max contract offer which she accepted.

25 years later she is still my MVP!

again it does not hurt his cred when he has no control over mda.

if mda will not play ar what other option is left other then to look at other options.

If they enhance the big position and get some relief to swat and box then you have an enhanced disher and it's so good then.

I cannot leave value sitting around. We have a potential championship team but we need a push from the bench. Id like a 7 footer too but 6-9 250 who can score 25 on a given night is probably more for this team. Mayo is a high quality 6th man and Douglas a high quality #9.

i was dating a girl that i was really in to... my friends would ask me how things were going and I would tell them that i thought she was the best bukkake ever, and ended up marrying her... then i discovered that man cannot live on bukkake alone, especially if the woman you marry is an obsessive compulsive bipolar. this is very similar to the dream i had the other night, only there was no marriage involved... lesson learned.

Do we need more points?

If you had the next superstar sitting on your bench why would you trade him for Carl Landry? If you believed in him as much as you said you did, this would be a ridiculous trade. I don't care if you think you are a title contender you don't trade "the next kevin garnettN for a solid big man. That just doest make sense and screams of impatience. If he's that good you can wait more then 25 games. Unless he just wasn't that good to begin with
