TNT is finally coming back to Madison Square Garden, and bringing along its studio team and some other familiar faces.

The network will televise the New York Knicks’ game against Miami on Jan. 27, and said Wednesday that its studio trio of Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith and Ernie Johnson will make the trip and unveil the starters for the NBA All-Star game during the live pregame show.

TNT hasn’t aired a game from MSG since Jan. 19, 2006, a 105-79 Knicks loss to Detroit.

Marv Albert, the longtime radio and TV voice of the Knicks, will call the game along with former Pacers All-Star Reggie Miller, who enjoyed some of his best moments at MSG, and Steve Kerr.

The studio team also will broadcast live as part of its Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day coverage when the Lakers host Oklahoma City on Jan. 17. Though it usually only travels in the postseason, it went on the road this season for Miami’s opening-night game in Boston, and LeBron James’(notes) return to Cleveland last week.

Hopefully Dolan will see Albert there and make amends. We need Marv back. He is the voice of the Knicks.

to hell w/TNT... they made a habit of clowning us at every opportunity... i can't stand Kevin Harlan, & Charles Barkley's turrble

but i guess this is at least a sign that our team is finally getting some national attention, which is a good thing.

After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

Steve Kerr is such a douchebag, whn Kyle Korver beat his 3pt record, he complained to the league and filed a suit so that Kyle's record wouldn't count... Gosh I hate that Steve Kerr guy... he was on TV complaining and talking trash about Kyle Korver :-/

A classy guy would have said that record are meant to be broken... but no, steve douchebag kerr was like "oh yeah, it's easy to break a record when you don't shoot 3s in your last regular season game"...

I have succumb to the Barkley. He can read the phone book and it sounds funny. Charles is not always on his game but with Kenny the Jet they get some good lines in at times.

Marv is 90 years old and looks younger all the time. Marv has gone national and Im sure he is doing better on the networks than just MSG. Him and Clyde would be a great combo. Very Nostalgic, but maybe thats not enough.

He said this during a telecast and I think he was saying this as a joke.

As much as you guys are burying the TNT crew, better them than ESPN any day.

true we were but these guys seemed to take actual pleasure out of clowning our franchise for years... Reggie Miller of all people seems like the most fair & classy of the bunch anytime a Knicks related topic comes up during 1 of their broadcasts.

Remember when Barkley said 'Chicago has to be embarrassed to be losing to this terrible New York team'?

Barkley was definitely over the top with his criticism of the Knicks. I hope we put the beat down on Miami so we can stick to Lebron and Barkley in the same game.

Trust the Process

SUCK ON IT CHUCK. SUCK ON IT.

He definitely didn't say that this year.

We don't need Marv back. He's too old school for the Knicks today. The times have changed. Stay your ass at YES Marv.
