i take back every criticism i ever made towards Donnie Walsh for making the Fishlips trade... that deal directly led to us getting Ray Felton & he has made a HUGE impact on this team, both with his shotmaking, his leadership, & his defensive intensity... yes, we whiffed on Lebron & D Wade, but Felton has been a nice consolation prize out of that deal... good call Donnie!

Yup just a few weeks ago i questioned him and felt he was the reason the Knicks got off to a slow start. Fortunately for us it works both ways. He has been unbelievable and without question the 3rd best PG in the east and an all-star. He is still a little shaky with the PnR but his pros far outweigh his cons. The guy is for real.

I think fit and chemistry, we're better off with Amare, Felton and the other parts we added vs. Amare and Lebron.

I dont know about all that man, plus we could have gotten Ray with LeBron and Stats.

I think you fail to realize how good Amare is making Felton look. Think Duhon and Lee. If you have a guy to feed that has GREAT hands you are going to get assists.

Felton needs to calm down and play smarter. Dude is making bad decisions at the end of games and it is becoming annoying.

If a six game losing streak is all it took to get the Knicks where they should be with Amare and Felton, then heck I'll take that.

no, we couldn't have gotten Ray with both Lebron & Amare... there wasn't enough cap room for all 3... obviously i would rather have gotten Lebron, but Felton has definitely made a big impact & i'm glad we have him.

i dunno about that much... Lebron & Amare woulda made us an instant championship contender... but whatever, maybe it was fate that we missed out on Lebron... he's turned out to be a major DB anyway & i hope we kick his team's ass when they come to the Garden... i got the 17th circled on my calendar.

no, trust me i realize having Amare is the key to this team's run, but u can't overlook the contribution that's being made by Felton either... the guy is ballin'... he's making big shots, he's making big defensive plays, & he's getting the ball to Amare for easy baskets w/regularity now whereas he wasn't in synch w/him earlier in the season... he's obviously worked hard w/Amare in practice & it's paying off... yeah, Ray still makes some boneheaded mistakes but compared to what we're used to seeing around here, that doesn't trump the positives he's bringing to this team... he's a real leader, something we really haven't had at the PG position for quite a while.

you say this just after Felton just carried the Knicks for a half while Amare was in foul trouble.

Holy crap.

You gotta go out and make your own luck. Donnie rather aggressively did that. Sometimes you make errors that way but I'm usually oay with errors of aggression... I'd rather that than errors from sitting on your hands and failing to act. This current roster clearly wasn't the preferred one but I am obviously very happy with it and it will be even better next year

I'd rather be pessimistic and then pleasantly surprised than optimistic and later crushed when it comes to the Knicks.

Color me pleasantly surprised! That's as much of a man up I'm willing to give before this next stretch of games.

If they keep winning, bars 2 blocks from the Garden are going to actually have the game on! The Knicks fan base has apparently resurrected on Twitter tonight...

It feels good y'all, especially after looking like a herb rocking my Knicks gear on Decision day. I had no idea I'd be celebrating Amar'e beast of a Hanukkah! I hope the oil never runs out!

the upcoming stretch will be a good test... but even if we struggle through that stretch, i think the mindset of this team has completely changed... Felton & Amare are leading by example & everyone else is following their lead... as long as those 2 guys keep performing at a high level, i think this team will exceed my expectations this year by a pretty wide margin.

Amare would make any point guard look better, but Ray Felton is good on his own. He's stepped his game up since coming to New York.

He gave Moz 3 million like it was nothing, I am sure that Donnie could have found a way to get Felton on this team with LeBron. Think about it, if he goes and signs Bron who would be running the point right now, Donnie could and would have definitely made some type of adjustment building the roster.

this is a logical and rational post. I would encourage you to save that type of post for others, as anubis is pretty much here to chap others' asses and stink up the joint with his piss and vinegar

the only way we could have swung having all 3 of those guys is if we'd been able to dump Eddy Curry's contract without taking on any salary, which probably would have meant he'd have had to give up Gallo and/or Wilson + future pick(s) to get it done (considering what it took to get Fishlips contract off our books, i don't know if that would have been possible)... also we would not have had Turiaf or AR on this squad either.
