Briggs - I am watching Carl Landry right now and he looks like crap. 3 fouls in the first half, not playing well at all.

They would take AR and $3M.

But you know what? I would take AR.

I agree they need that extra big to come off the bench. But I believe AR is the perfect big for this team - shotblocking, potentially an elite rebounder and running big. D'Antoni just needs to show him some patience.

AR is is the guy. I'm telling you.

Amare is our PF. We need a Center and backup PG.

AR should be a perfect D'Antoni center.

Backup PG is a problem, I agree.

agreed. landry is not the right move, nor jason thompson. we need a legit C. other than that i'm happy to watch the continued progression of young guys (fields, gallo, chandler, douglas, randolph, mozgov, walker) and chemistry build.

The guy is a good player with a nice body of work behind him--was a great bench player for Houston. The guy can score is physical can rebound and plays with energy.

Here is the problem with Sacramento--just like Miami in a way--they have a fcd up roster. They need to eliminate a player--they have to do it. We need a big guy--so I think there can be a match there.
What is going to happened with King players is they will give inconsistent play with undefined roles and unknown playing time. Come on Carl Landry has been a very good player in the NBA.

Utah= 14-5 with 6-7 Paul Millsap and 6-9 Al Jeffereson

This is just a different league. Our C is Turriaf off the bench and Amare in a 4-1 to start.

Carl Landry is a proven player. I think AR is a better fit on the Knicks though. With Landry, Amar'e and Chandler you have three big forwards who need the ball to score and be effective.

I think AR is a better fit as a weakside shotblocker and ideally an offensive rebound machine. Doesn't need the ball to be effective but gets us extra possessions.

I'd rather have AR than Landry or Thompson coming into this season... he just needs to find his rhythm here.

Id be happy with either player--with either and Azu back at 95% we are an elite team.

Jason Thompson is a guy I would give up a good piece to get. That dude is 6'11" and rebounds very well.

Give me Jason Thompson and OJ Mayo and we are truly an elite team. If Kelenna comes back in good form, we can be a 48 win team.

I still think AR can be almost as good a piece as Thompson. He's not as gritty, but I still feel he can be a young Camby type. He just needs a chance here. His first season is reminding me so much of Camby's first season.

A healthier Turiaf seems to be at least what we need right now. It seems like AR will take more time to get used to this system and since we might have a team capable of making the playoffs, we need those reinforcements now.

Bring a C and a backup PG

You forgot that guy Deron Williams. Carl Landry would be a nice pickup but Sacramento isnt going to give him away.

I'd welcome Landry here but we need to get Carmelo first.

A C will only clog Amares space. I like the 4-1 set becasue Gallo Chandler and Fields all rebound. It would be nice to see TD play more of a PG role. Turriaf is only good for 15 minutes off the bench--hell break down otherwise. I would think Landry might be easier to get and would fit in here very well off the bench.

I want to wait on Timo and AR developing into our C. At least wait this year. I am having fun right now with this team and I want to see them take the next step together. Give Timo a little time, I think he will surprise.

I think Carl Landry is going to have a poor year if he stays stuck with the Kings, but he was an absolute beast for the Rockets, and really helped them win games (more than Kevin Martin, thats for sure)- I think he's the kind of player that excels when he is on a winning team, or at least when he's in a position to help his team win. I'm not sure if they'll trade him though- I'm not sure whats going on in their GMs mind at all, that teams 2 main players have serious character issues.

Failing any trades, I'd at least transfer Mosgovs minutes to AR- we need to develop him into a PF-C, and I think he'll calm down and stop playing so akwardly if he knows he has a regular amount of minutes each games.

If AR played like he did for that stretch last year where he was an opportunistic scorer and boarded and blocked like a mad man he is the perfect fit.

That not being the case, I am looking at guys like Nazr-as a rebounder and shotblocker-, Chris Andersen, Dalembert would be nice if not for his contract.

Personally I don't have the faith in ADR some of you other guys do. I would trade AR, Walker, and $3 mil for Marc Gasol right now.

I would do this in a minute despite thinking AR will blossom this season, but Memphis would not

What can we give for Carl Landry?
