11/22/2010  3:20 PM    LAST EDITED: 11/22/2010  3:23 PM
Tuesday November, 23 7:30 PM EST vs Bobcats
Wednesday November, 24 7:00 PM EST at Bobcats
Saturday November, 27 1:00 PM EST vs Hawks
Sunday November, 28 1:30 PM EST at Pistons
Tuesday November, 30 7:30 PM EST vs Nets
Friday December, 3 8:00 PM EST at Hornets
Sunday December, 5 1:00 PM EST at Raptors
Monday December, 6 7:30 PM EST vs Wolves
Wednesday December, 8 7:30 PM EST vs Raptors
Friday December, 10 7:00 PM EST at Wizards

Optimistically I see us

Splitting the two games vs the Bobcats.
Losing to the Hawks.
Beating the Pistons and Nets.
Whooped by the Hornets.
Beating the Raptors.
Revenge against Minnesota.
Beating the raptors.
Beating the Wiz again minus John Wall even though Arenas is playing out of his mind.

Best case 7-3 leaving us 13-11.

Worst case we lose both to the Bobcats, Lose to Minnesota again, Split the raptors and lose to the Wiz, go 3-7 and are 9-15.

Would like to see more:

- Gallo continue the one man parade to the line.

- Pulse from AR, whether he's gifted his minutes or preferably if he earns them by practicing
well and rebounding/defending when he does get minutes.

- Progress from Felton on keeping his dribble alive and executing PnR.

- Team in general continuing to whip the ball around and moving off of it

- Turiaf, Bill Walker

Would like to see less:

- Blowing leads in winnable games by jacking up ill advise long jumpers/3s early in the shot clock

- standing around and watching Amare go one on one.

- Mozgov, Roger Mason

Y tu?

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

We seem to have problems with teams that defend and teams that have more than 1 potent scorer.

It's not about the other team. It's about how the Knicks execute. When this team tightens up it's defense we'll be competitive with any team in the league. We have too many lapses on D.

We block and steal
We shoot free throws

6-4 is a good run for this team.

Sure we can go 9-1 but only the Lakes could go on that kind of run.

It 5 road games anyway you look at it. Two are on the back end of a back to back. Don't know if they stay out after Hornets game with a day in between enroute to Toronto. They seemed to bond well on the road. Keep them there.

So far we are a better road team than home, are we not? Lets get our defense to function like the first few games and lets go whup some ass.

Not just our defense.

From the Knicks-Bobcats preview on CBSSports:

New York is just 1-4 at MSG, though, largely due to its inaccuracy from beyond the arc. The Knicks are hitting an NBA-worst 26.0 percent of their 3-pointers at home, while they've knocked down 38.9 percent on the road.

Our shooters have the jitters when playing in MSG.

I credit our 3 game winstreak entirely due to my making the game threads*

*except for the Minnesota game but dammit "Will Darko be the sparko or will the Knicks get a winny over Minny?" made Edgar Allen Poe angry with envy

We are 6-8 and lost games to the Wolves, Sixers and Rockets. All games we should have bagged. There are no givens with this team. I'm not going to get carried away until the Knicks prove they can handle prosperity and also not completely collapse after losing a game or 2.

Nice road trip but we have a crap ton to work on.

+1... i think this team will have plenty of peaks & valleys this season... not getting too hyped or down until they have a prolonged stretch of success or failure that stretches over a 20 game span or so... that would be a nice tell of where they're at as a team.

After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

Even though we lost to some bad teams, we still played ok considering our early schedule wasn't that favorable. Now we have a great opportunity to play against all beatable teams for the next bunch of games. This is a huge opportunity to get a couple games up on .500 heading into december. There is no reason we can't go 7-3 or even 8-2.

for a team that has too many lapse on D, it really hurts when your lapsing offensively

The team has to be confident at this point- it will be a very interesting 10 game stretch, and you can make a case that the next 10 games will give us a good idea of where the Knicks are, and where they may be going.

If we want to be a .500+ team a gain some credibility, we need to win 7/10, and I want to see an upset of either Atlanta or the Hornets.

And to think, if we had won those winnable games, or also closed out the 9-pt lead against Portland...we'd have a better record than Miami.
