Tiago splitter with 18 and 5.

I can't remember the last time the spurs made a big mistake.

Ah yes, Scola's rights and Jackie Butler for Spanoulis.

That was bad.

I knew we should have tried to get Splitter in the draft. He will be solid, but hasn't been doing much since he arrived (just saying that from the box scores. Perhaps he is making a difference.)

I think he has been hurt and gradually playing his way back. Blair has played very well for them in the role I think they want Splitter to have.

Didn't know he was hurt. I just sort of disliked San Antonio ever since their great luck with how they got Duncan. Remember, they were a very good team, David Robinson gets hurt, they tanked, got Duncan and the rest is history. Seriously the draft should be weighted. If you have a great record and your star player is out, there is no way you should be able to win the lottery.

This league was built on luck. Rose, Griffin, Wall, and being bad the right year.

The spurs also grabbed George Hill, Parker, Splitter, Blair, Manu with late picks. They have the best run organization in all of sports. Amazing the Knicks couldn't find guys like this to run there team with the financial resources

Splitter was a known commodity. Many teams passed on him. That said, we have done excellent with later picks. We got TD, David Lee, Chandler was 23rd and Fields of course - apparently the biggest steal yet.

Yeah, luck has a lot to do with it...

apparently one of his lackeys posted something about a charity event with Riles and then deleted later, but not before it had been retweeted by media.

Yup Yup. I predicted 3rd in the east with about 52-53 wins. Looks like I overestimated them.

Actually 8-5 is on pace for 50-51 wins, so you were almost right on target. I don't know if injuries will change it too much, since they don't seem much better with having to split the ball between those three, so maybe LeBron-Bosh will be a dominant duo. Maybe not.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Still too early in the year to make predictions with this team. They may underachieve during the regular season and make a strong run when everyone is healthy.

I'm hoping that the there is enough bad karma surrounding the team to keep them from winning anything this year, though.
