OK, Let's say we give Portland some gems to make the deal happen.
We can give them a good PG, since they just traded Mcinnis. We also give them a hometown product (a 5, who replaces Ruben, who was just traded, and is better than Ruben) with a small contract. They just gotta take KVH and his good guy image with them. Why wouldn't they do it?
That way we still have KT to play the 4/5 with Sheed @ the 3,4 or 5 and Woods/Penny @ the 3. Deke can be used more sparingly @ the 5. FWill is not in the rotation now, so moving him will have a minimal effect on the backcourt.
The deal works:
Portland trades: SF Rasheed Wallace (17.3 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 2.7 apg in 38.3 minutes) SF Qyntel Woods (4.6 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 0.9 apg in 14.0 minutes) Portland receives: PG Frank Williams (4.7 ppg, 1.1 rpg, 2.4 apg in 13.1 minutes) C Michael Doleac (4.4 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 0.5 apg in 13.5 minutes) SF Keith Van Horn (17.0 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 1.6 apg in 34.3 minutes) Change in team outlook: +4.2 ppg, +2.1 rpg, and +0.9 apg.
New York trades: PG Frank Williams (4.7 ppg, 1.1 rpg, 2.4 apg in 13.1 minutes) C Michael Doleac (4.4 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 0.5 apg in 13.5 minutes) SF Keith Van Horn (17.0 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 1.6 apg in 34.3 minutes) New York receives: SF Rasheed Wallace (17.3 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 2.7 apg in 36 games) SF Qyntel Woods (4.6 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 0.9 apg in 35 games) Change in team outlook: -4.2 ppg, -2.1 rpg, and -0.9 apg.
TRADE ACCEPTED

I believe it's the kind of deal both teams would want to do. They both benefit from it. Portland even gets a amall edge statwise, which sweetens the deal. We get the low-post presence and a serviceable SF as well. All that and we STILL have KT!
If you can come up with a more balanced deal, post the realGM page and show it off! It just might be the deal Zeke makes!
I would be more than happy with this one, though.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year.
GO KNICKS!
