Knicks need to make some adjustments.People around here get so polarized. Knicks lost a game against a team they were probably better than. Youth or inexperience in playing together arent excuses, they are reasons. I dont think anyone is excusing this loss. Knicks need to play better. I expect them to come out strong and beat the Buck tomorrow.
My notion of excuses was based on Felton's piece wherein he talks about how the Sixers got it done and wanted it more. That is a standard excuse from a losing team. This from a team that played the Trailblazers and Celtics hard and was in position to potentially win those games. A team that can do that and go against Philly should NOT lose. I would say flat out that the Knicks are clearly a better team than the Sixers, as opposed to probably better. Again this same youthful team of guys that are just learning how to play together gave a Celtics team that looks like it could be this season's champion (along with a few other teams) a real run for their money and that's a veteran team with lots of experience playing together. Shaq is such a veteran that he'll meld seamlessly into what Doc needs him to do.
I beg to differ. I remember mostly headcoaches saying that, trying to urge the team on. Obviously, it is usually said after a loss, but not as a mantra. Shows good leadership from Felton, imho.
