Eddy Curry is still fat and not playing due to a hamstring injury.
Anthony Randolph has recovered from a sprained ankle and will play in this game.
Kelena Azubuike is out recovering from a knee injury.
Chris "Dudu" Duhon is on the Magic and still sucks..
Quentin Richardson is still finding teams to play for.
Orlando is a very, very good team.
Knicks must win.

1 game losing streak (Briggs made the Celtics game thread). Should have been 2 game winning streak but the Knicks had to collapse against Portland.

Eventually we have to steal a game here, either against orlando or chicago. There's no harm losing to better teams, but it would be a shame to start 1-4 no matter what. This has to be a game we really go all out and steal one. If Gallo gets his shot back this could be the game.

Enough with the Gallo bashing. I'm predicting a breakout game for Gallo 20+ and the swagger is back.

they need to defend them like the Knicks of old used to defend the Heat. Stay 1on1 with Howard. If he scores 30 fine. Make him work and make him beat you at the line. No and-ones. Play the shooters tight and force them into forcing some shots.

I think this is a monster game for Amare. Who is guarding him? Rashard Lewis?

I think that point is key here, Amare gotta bring it this game, and not from 20ft from the basket... If he can get a few whistles on howard we might have a chance here

Going to my first game of the year tonight. Should be a good time, but I'm not optimistic about our chances. AMare needs to really be on tonight

Vmart--I hope you are right. I hope Gallo uses mental tenacity to bust through. Guys like Kobe dont except small injury excuses in their own brain. Galo just has to get it in his mind to play right through it. I hope he has 20 points 2 and looks good doing it. If we honestly had the Gallo from last year last 2 months easy 3-0 right now.

and I think you're right. The Magic have too much size and talent for the Knicks

Yep, I'm hoping he returns to form tonight, but I'm tempering my hopes- I think Alan Hahn said Gallo looked bad in practice again yesterday.

I'm interested to see how Randolph plays- maybe he was just using preseason to get warmed up and he'll improve like Turiaf did when the regular season started.

My optimism levels are not high for tonights game, however after the Magic we face a series of much more beatable opponents, so hopefully things will start to pick up.

I think it's really embarrassing for this team that this game may be canceled due to court issues.

Apparently the court still hasn't been placed down yet. The ice from the hockey game last night is still there.
