first off I think Orlando is winning the nBA title and is by far the best all around team.

That being said this is a little fantasy game--how many games will the Heat win---my guess is 54-28 behind Orlando and Boston. They are paper thin--I have seen no evidence that they will be able to overcome this deficiency with their porous role players--on top of it Bosh and Wade are injuries waiting to happen. Theyll be forced into minutes they can no longer handle

If they did that they'd set a record for most regular-season games played (92), shattering the old record of 82, held by several teams.

I think they're unfortunately (barring major injury) going to win a ****ton of games... If they won anywhere between 60-70 games, I wouldn't be surprised. I think people forget how thin the Cavs were compared to this team, and they won 60+ games. Mike Miller would have probably been the second best player on the Lebron Cavs..

Around 62 - 67 games.

If they have significant injuries - which is already happening, about 60 games.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

I agree with that. A team with three stars should win 3/4 of their games.

Yes, I think some form of Karma is going to play a part in their season.

Im going to say 70.

Once that team gets rolling they are going to be steam rolling teams. Lebron and Bosh alone are good for 60 wins.

69-13 (assuming no critical injuries)

2 superstars and one all-star frontcourt player, all of whom play unselfishly and have a lot to prove. If I was confident about the team's ability to stay healthy, I'd probably predict that they would break that 72-10 mark but I think some of the starters will be rested at the end of the season to gear up for the playoffs.

Boston is deep, LA is deep, Orlando is deep, but no one else can match the core that Miami has. And with that said, Haslem, Ilgauskas, House, Arroyo, Chalmers, and Jones is still a solid enough supporting cast to get the job done even with Mike Miller hurt.

BRIGGS, out of curiosity, why do you see Orlando winning it all? They seem to br bringing back the same roster which can't be great news when you consider how many other contenders improved over the off-season (LA, Boston, San Antonio, Miami of course became a contender, etc.). I mean I think Orlando has a very good team but after not being able to get the job done in past seasons, I feel like Dwight Howard has to take his game to a whole new level for that team to beat the powerhouses. I'm not saying that's not possible because Dwight is a freak athlete who has improved significantly over his career but I'm not sure that I see his offensive game taking a dramatic leap forward after one off-season (even if he did work with Hakeem). If they play a healthy Boston team in the playoffs, I think the Celtics still beat them like they have in the past.

They'll win 60+ and still lose to the Lakers in the Finals.

If Gallo and Randolph play up to their abilities ad we ADDRESS things such as a third C and an extra rebounder instead of having useless players like Williams and PEJ on the bench--then we should win 50 games. That is dependent on addressing the rebounding and Gallinari and Randolph stepping up and playing like they can.

The Heat can only play so well being paper thin. They will hurt as they try to over compensate by using their brand players too many minutes. This Heta team is a far cry from the 70 win Bulls--not even on the same radar up and down the roster. This thing that you can win with 2-3 players is absurd. You need to be 9 deep and talented with extra depth to spare.

And I can freely say that I think Amare is going to prove he is a MUCH better player than Bosh. The Heat are weak upfront--name 1 team that won the title being that weak?
