Look at how these pieces will fit together. This is going to be a good team if they leave it alone--you have to be crazy if you want to trade any of our young players because the team fits together quite well--give it time and experience and were going to have a great team. Keep that cap space open--I think id rather spend the cash $$$ on Gasol replacing turriaf and this draft is awesome for point guards--well get a good one inside of 25 picks. Don't mess with a good thing!!

im excited about this season, all the size, athleticism and versatility...

we got some skilled pieces at the major positions we need to operate this offense, if AR can have a good year i think we'll make th playoffs and possibly make some noise...

I know it's only been one pre season game against an italian team, and I know he hasn't really played in a year, but the most obvious player we'll need to replace is Turiaf with a proper rebounder (even at his best he's never been the prolific rebounder we need with this squad), so yep thats going to be the area we'll need to address if there are no major trades- is Gasol a good rebounder? (I'll admit I haven't seen much of him, but his stats are good and he's shown he could play with Amar'e, seen as how he's performed well with Zach Randolph) anyone got any ideas of good rebounders available next offseason? Would you over pay Noah to get him away from the Bulls? IS Dalembert as bad as Philly fans seem to think?

The lack of a rebounder in the starting lineup is going to be our major weakness this year.

Yeah see much more weakness at starting 5 than starting 3 man--gallo will give us the 22-24 pts. There is no way that Im trading for a player that costs 25mm $--when you think about what we could have--we dont need that. We have our scorers---i really believe that. Mosgov and Randolph will be a very good tandem off the bench--we could use Gasol at starting 5---then watch out. Melo is a nice player--but if you look at the team--we dont need him for what he costs--Gallo is the wing scorer and chandler is a good sidekick. Randolph and Mosgov will be differentiators off the bench

I think PG is a must to address ....... Felton did not push the tempo like he should of at all!!

Our best fast breaks was with our Forwards bringing ball up or deep Mozgov passes!!

I also feel Felton does not have the vision needed for our PG spot

RUBIO is born for this job..... Mayo would be an upgrade over Felton as well!!

I echoe umynot regarding point guard and thats where I would start...cp3 or parker which ever we can get. I will take melo if he waits next year not via trade.

I saw the game and I think we have something going on here. I do think it needs to be taken with a grain of salt because it was international play but I like our pieces. PG and SG are two area we definitely need help in, especially with D'Antoni as the coach, I think we need a much better PG. We don't really have anything great going on at SG and haven't for a while so thats another spot that needs help.

I think at SF and PF we are set and C is serviceable for now - I agree with the BRIGGS approach, you want to save your cap space, draft a PG if you can, and sign a FA with the dollars that will fill a need. I don't think Carmelo will do much to make this squad better at the price it would cost to get him.

I don't think the team needs a point... I like Felton and I think he fits here.

The team needs a traditional, legitimate SG. I wish the team had landed Mike Miller or JJ Reddick... I think that's the type of piece this team needs and I would prefer to let the young assets to develop a little bit before they get traded. This seems like the right type of environment for young players to develop

This squad will not show signs of cohesion until it plays at least 20-25 regular season games.

Please stop with the impatience routine.

I agree no MAJOR trades, but if some how some way we end up with melo and keep:
Gallo, Randolph and amare (and heaven forbid keep Chandler) we have to do it.

Loves today's game, gallo def a keeper, Randolph was impressive, Chandler seems to be growing up and Amare was amare.

Let's go Knicks. That's amare

As well as the pieces may fit, at best we are battling for the 8th spot in the East. Still tons of room for improvement.

I don't think we need the help where Carmelo Anthony plays--I think Gallo is a 20/22-5-4 guy. Were going to need our help @ the 5 position and need to find a quality back up PG in the draft.

We need to replace based on the game today? They looked like a summer league team! Guess we should can MDA also.

A week of practice is all they had. We saw little today.

I read Rubio's parents shot down a dinner invite with Glen Taylor!

Wouldn't look good if they dined and sat court side with Dolan and Donnie. Maybe Isiah can take them shopping?

Wasn't refering to Melo in my comment, however, I would pull the trigger on that deal if available. Other than the 5, I think we need a pure 2 guard aswell. Chandler will struggle guarding 2's out on the perimeter..

Honestly I think we saw a lot of what is expected of each player. This is how I personally kind of envisioned it--although I really thought that Fields would come out swinging out of the gate. I think Mason and Turriaf--our vets are the weak links--nothing has changed my mind and although they are going to have moments--I dont think they are the pieces. Cahnlder can always play 32-34 minutes to pick up anyone else--but I have trepidation about out overall rebounding and the starting 5 position.

I would never trade either of them in that deal. I wouldnt take melo for FREE if it costs 25 mm per let alone give up pieces.
