My message to him:

@FisolaNYDN Why are you such a bitter man? Because Dolan denies you access? Don't cover the Knicks if it upsets you. i'm sick of your crap.

He send me a direct message which I only saw today:

FisolaNYDN
How am I bitter? You're just a fool because you root for a damn awful organization. Nine straight losing seasons and counting bee-atch

I just replied to him with this:

Why do you cover the team then? Resign your post. You obviously have no fun covering the team and only put it down. Go F yourself.

Frank Isola finally shows his true colors.

Haha well done. I'm curious, what did he specifically post that you responded with "Why are you such a bitter man?"

C2D - outstanding work.

these NY beat writer types share a common bond of bitterness and resentment towards the Knicks.

They spend more time manufacturing rumors and chasing third hand sources than they do analyzing basketball.

I eMailed Berman on why he insisted on using the juvenile LeCon (or the tired Italian Stallion) and he had no defense other than a one-liner.

They all need to be traded to the Minneapolis Tribune for some sports writers to be named later.

Wow. So much for being a professional and just "brushing you off" as the disgruntled fan he claimed you were in his reply.

He took your provocation and replied like a 17 year old kid. Not cool-a professional has to stay above the level of pettiness he showed in his reply.

I will ask you this though-have you taken shots at him before, and would he have remembered them? Just wondering.

I have not taken shots at him before. and if I did, it was too long ago for him to remember.

"bee-atch"? 1992 called. They want their slang back.

What a situation we got here with the beat writers. The best of the bunch is under the Cablevision umbrella and the other two are agenda-driven bitter guys writing shock pieces.

Go bloggers.

What I like about Isola is that he gets back to you if contact him. He was out of line in his response to you. He's got a pretty sweet situation and should count his blessings.

Screen shot of it:

My email to the Daily News Editors:

Dear New York Daily News Editors,

My name is George. I am writing you today to express my outrage over your employment of an unprofessional reporter for your newspaper. That unprofessional reporter is Frank Isola. Frank Isola has been the NY Daily News beat writer for the New York Knicks since 1996.

Frank Isola has been writing negative articles about the Knicks for years and rightfully so. They haven't exactly been a beacon of hope in the basketball world. But Mr. Isola continues to write these articles till this day, even after Isiah Thomas is gone. Donnie Walsh has been doing a fine job and even Isola can admit that. This doesn't stop him from recycling his hateful articles about the New York Knicks. He does not seem to go one article without bringing up former General Manager Isiah Thomas or mention Chairman James L Dolan. Mr. Dolan may have a vendetta against your paper but that is hardly a reason to trash a whole franchise and insult its fanbase. This is what Mr. Isola has done. Partly by writing these articles but more importantly by sending me this message via Twitter:

FisolaNYDN
How am I bitter? You're just a fool because you root for a damn awful organization. Nine straight losing seasons and counting bee-atch

What Frank Isola displayed here is an utter lack of professionalism and a clear discontent for a franchise he gets paid to cover. What he doesn't understand is that without the fans who read his articles he wouldn't have a job. Instead of calling us names and laughing at the fact that we root for the team, he should be treating us with respect.

Here is the original message I sent to him on Twitter and his reply:

My message to him:

@FisolaNYDN Why are you such a bitter man? Because Dolan denies you access? Don't cover the Knicks if it upsets you. i'm sick of your crap.

His to me:

FisolaNYDN
How am I bitter? You're just a fool because you root for a damn awful organization. Nine straight losing seasons and counting bee-atch

Here is a screen shot of his message in order for you to not say I fabricated this entire thing:

http://img337.imageshack.us/img337/483/isolasucks.jpg

I sent him that message because I was fed up with his negativity in his articles and on Twitter. I just wanted to read about the Knicks without his negative opinion in every article. I had enough of having to sift through that when I just wanted to read about the Knicks in the Daily News. His articles have made me stop reading the Daily News and switch to other beat writers who know how to cover the team and do not have a clear bias against it. My message to him:

Many fans are upset with Mr. Isola and you can tell that by simply looking at comments on his blog and articles. They do not like the way he covers the team and do not want him employed by the team any longer. I do not want him employed by the paper any longer. If the Daily News has any decency and any professionalism, they will remove Frank Isola from his position as beat writer of the New York Knicks and restore some pride to the basketball section of the paper. His comments are deplorable and sad and it's equally pathetic that a prominent New York newspaper would employ such a mean. Please remove him from his post.

Thank you very much for your time,

A concerned reader and proud Knicks fan

Nah...but as I said, it has a familiar ring to it.

I'd be more worried about Isola, Teri Thompson, and the long reach of the Daily News.
