Don't think I have seen a poll. Just lots of redundant commnets.
No Melo. High scoring low % punk who is not "A" list superstar.
No melo if Gally/AR involved in trade. Don't dilute a team he comes to.
Sign Melo as free ageint. Why pay if you can get him for free?
Offer Chandler and 2 GS picks for Nuggs to save face or lose him for nothing mid season.
Melo is god, get him at any cost. Stars don't come on market that often!

Ive been saying to anyone who will listen that Melo told the Nuggets that the only team that hell sign with is the Knicks, and Donnie knows this. Ill throw Denver our scraps for Melo and thats it

I wouldnt even include Douglas as this point however. I would offer Chandler + Curry + picks, or if they say no Curry any package of Rautins, Fields, Walker, Azu, Turiaf with Chandler as the main piece.

No AR, Gallo, Douglas or Mosgov.

Yes, my first choice is to sign him as a max FA. But if Denver freaks and will take say a few 2nd rounders, Chandler, Turiaf, Azu and Fields than I would do that to get him now. Start the season w/ Melo at SG next to Felton, Gallo, Amare and Mosgov. AR and Douglas are your main bench guys.

If you think that offer sucks its because it does suck. I have ZERO ZILCH pressure to get Melo now. Everyone knows he wants to come and that have cap space next summer and that LBJ and Bosh and Amare all played good soldier to leave the next year.

But if Denver gets desperate and will take a couple rotation guys now rather than get burnt later I will play

Chandler, the 2014 1st rounder, the GS 2nd rounders, Curry's expiring (already half paid for 2010!) if they want to get a deal done right away. If they wait until the deadline, I offer the same package minus the 2014 first rounder since they will know it's take it or lose him in FA.

Hopefully, Melo and his reps will keep their mouths shut and let Donnie Walnuts work some nap magic.

I wouldn't say he's god but they need to find away to get him without gutting the team...some keep saying wait til he's free but if a contender comes with a sweet package like the nets came close to doing... AR, gallo and chandler turn out to be mediocre..then what

i think there are some other options that should be listed.

generally, i think we should get him, if we can, but depending on what's asked.

how about, gallo, randolph and td?

that i'd actually do, but i don't think he's god either.

The options in a poll have to be mutually exclusive. Your options are not, specifically

- No melo if Gally/AR involved in trade. Don't dilute a team he comes to.
- Sign Melo as free agent. Why pay if you can get him for free?

Hopefully, we will watch their early development this season and start to realize that the "Sky Is Falling" crew have sorely underestimated their current worth and prospective ceilings. If another team gets serious with a trade proposal and Melo indicates he might sign an extension there then we add in Gallo to get it done.

IMO, Melo would be foolish to play us like that, since he would only be removing an efficient scorer and clutch 3pt shooter in Gallo. If we have difficulties playing Gallo at the 2 (so he can share the court with Melo) then we likely move Gallo to sign an elite PG or SG.

Where would Gallo play when Melo is here? Melo would hurt his development. Not really sure what we would do with both. You can't have evrything, Gallo and change for Melo is a fair trade. I really like Gallo and I won't be super disappointed if we don't get Melo, but if we do then we should ship Gallo out.

ill give up a player to get him, but he seems desitned for NY or Chicago, so unless we have to outbid chicago, i say wait for him to walk

Right we don't need to outbid ourselves. If we get him in FA, Gallo can be traded for another star. But if it seems like trade with another team is likely we shouldn't shy away from giving up Gallo.

I would give my left nut to see Melo come to the Knicks AND we retain rights to Gallo, AR, and Mozgov. I like Douglas too, but if we have to offer Curry + Chandler + Douglas + picks, then so be it.

I would not miss Wilson Chandler at all.

denver has absolutely no say in it if melo refuses to sign an extension for anyone else.

If we don't trade now and Gallo has a breakout season I would rather keep him. The rationale behind teh trade is Melo is a sure thing vs Gallo has upside from a pure talent comparison. Gallo is a much better character guy and better defensively. So if he indeed does break out in a convincing way then I would rather hold on to him.

my buddy in denver who's watched melo every day of his professional career says the guy is real good but he’s selfish. every year when the nuggets get eliminated in the playoffs he says this team will never win with melo.

the downside to him is he can be a high-volume shooting ball-hog . we don't need that. i'd like to see what our unique combination of size and energy can do. i'm concerned that carmelo anthony significantly alters the chemistry by taking shot after shot.

I think you need to get him if you can but not at the expense of gutting the team. If it cost Gallor or AR plus someone like Moz the deal isn't worth it. If you only have to part with either gallo or ar and send picks plus curry then I think you pull the trigger.

I guess the question is if you know you wont get Melo later if you don't trade for him now, would you still feel the same way? I have been wanting to trade for Melo ever since this thing started, but the selfishness reports are starting to turn me off a bit. I was under the impression he had become more of a team player since Billups got to Denver but doesn't seem to be the case based on what I am reading now. MDA is high on character guys and hates selfish players would he really want Melo?
