Well, a while ago it was AR to Indiana for their first. But that is not enough for AR.
Wonder if it's Chandler, another player and cash? I doubt we trade either Gallo or AR for a pick, they are worth more.

Why do I have a feeling I might vomit when I hear the actual trade?

Trade one of our core assets for the 1st round pick we will then send to Denver for yet more of our core assets to get Melo?

Umm, NO EFFING WAY! Donnie Walnuts won't crack that nut open. Wait for the deadline, Donnie, then take a nice long nap until next summer. Sheesh, we are on the cusp of having a damn team. Don't move our core for trade chips...please.

I don't see why Chandler would have to be packaged with cash or another player- he could get you a pick straight up. I think I read w few weeks ago that the Spurs were interested in him and needed a back up SF, don't know how true that is.

I don't want to lose Gallo or AR, and it would be a bit cruel trading Gallo after the team have just been to Milan- it would send a bad message to the rest of the players too. However, I'm curious- if the Knicks were definitely trading one or the other, who would you rather keep? Keeping AR makes sense because he can rebound, block shots and play 3 to 5. However Gallo is a bit more proven and his 3 point shooting allows us to get away with SF playing the SG spot, and opens things up a bit for the rest of the players inside. I'll be sad to see either go. I still think Denver won't trade him to us out of spite regardless of what we offer, so I think they're safe.

Don't all of us kinda of only have a vague idea as to where this roster can get us? Everyone other than Amare is so young we have no idea where the potential ceiling of some of these guys are...

I can understand that you have your doubts but don't see how you're so certain about things.

I agree but I also disagree. The only reason I want to keep AR is because I think he can really reach his potential if he takes after Amar'e's work ethic. I think this is the best way to let AR develop, with one of the best PF's in the league.

If we had the choice I would rather keep gallo just because he is our home grown talent and more proven. He can also slide to the 2 because of his shooting ability. I'm not sure which one Denver likes more but if they want gallo I'm find keeping AR. He has more upside and can gopefuly start at the 5 in the future we will just need to find a shooting guard who can stretch the floor in the worst way.

Im with Briggs on this one, IMO DW best move is to stand pat and only offer what he necessarily has to. we still have a shot of landing Melo if he doesnt sign the extention...

We got maybe 5 guys you could say are Above-Average.

Amare, Felton (maybe), Gallo, and we're hoping WC and AR make it.

Everyone else is a chump.

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

alanhahn tweet: From what I understand, there is no actual trade for a first. There are scenarios in which the Knicks know they can get one if they need to.

Walsh can just sit and let Denver squirm. If they want to take a couple rotation guys and 2nd rounders now we will bite. Otherwise we offer him the max this summer. Those are the 2 options I am working with. I will eat salary and give up any package of Chandler, Azu, Turiaf, Fields, Rautins, Walker + cash. Otherwise I wait happy this this summer.

Core assets = young multi skilled 7 foot fowards. No Gallo No AR. No Douglas (they have 2 pgs anyway) No Mosgov. Cheers
