There's really not much of a debate here, ewing essentially carried this franchise on his back until allan, spree and LJ emerged. Amare has been playing with some pretty good talent(including a 2x MVP) and has been hurt for long stretches. Even with his knees and wrist injury, you never associated the word injury prone when it came to ewing
The fact that this isn't even a big mans league anymore, validates any argument that Amare is not yet on ewings level.
This is amares 10th year, considering he came straight from HS, he still has a chance to become a HOF if he takes this franchise to the top. He's the face of the franchise right now, and if he stays relatively healthy (no less the 75 games per season) and keeps us as an elite team (and win a ring), then maybe you can start to compare the two.
