Remember people were talking about the Blazers wanted a #1 or AR for Sergio? Then 2 days ago we learn the Blazers never even called the Knicks. Everything w/ AR worked out as it should. First of all Walsh covets Randolph, and when you look at his history of making trades thats a very good sign. Second of all Walsh brought Randolph in for a secret workout on the day of the draft. He really wanted him and got cold feet because AR weighed in at 175 pounds. Thats less than Tayshawn Prince weighs. I 100% agree that drafting him was a low % gamble when you factor everything in and taking Gallo was the right choice. Now that AR is 215-220 3 years later its a whole new ball game. Third the position is NOT crowded and this is the right coach and team for him. Its built around hardworking veterans in Amare/Felton and AR will have an unlimited # of shots if he's rebounding, passing, blocking shots and getting steals. This is a coach who won 50+ games starting Boris Diaw at center in the West. Position really doesnt matter. Randolph will have a chance to play 2,3,4 and 5. All he has to do is play hard on both ends and everything else will fall into place for him. That, and of course stay healthy which to me is the only concern for him taking a big step forward this year. "winning is more fun... then fun is fun" -Thibs

![]() Randolph is a psudo project for us. He was throw in fodder for a sign and trade so lets not put too much on his value.
If we can get an uprotected lotto pick its may be worth it. To parlay that into Rudy is not really a discussion. Im gonna let it all settle itself on the court. AR might have some issues but lets plan on this year being about PROGRESS than worrying about our championships. AR at center seems like a stretch. We got a kid who can play many positions and is not over 200 lbs. Interesting. |

Well, I did hear a rumor that trade of Bippity for Bobo + a second rounder was offered by martin. But, this is unsubstantiated at this time. Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

![]() Bender was and is a scrub. He had a nice All-American game and Donnie thought he had found the next KG and gave away a chance to win a championship. He got injured, but it was his body type. AR has a similiar body type, but has shown more skills already then Bender did his entire career
Bender's best year AR last season You leave the kid on the floor he is going to be one of the best shotblockers in the NBA and put up impressive numbers especially with an outside presence and amare on the floor not to mention a point guard looking to get people involved. |

![]() Hold on.
Tommy D is not the source of the rumor. Yes, he did post a quote of the article and the link, but it comes from here: Was it a good idea for him to report it? I'd say that's a fair question. Such is the pressure of trying to get attention in the sports media world, where we see rumor's flying around and being reported no matter how little substance there actually may be to it. Regardless, Tommy D is infinitely more responsible than Isola, Berman, Vaccaro and Lawrence. The other part of it is that it is up to us as readers to use some critical thinking skills to not just take what is being reported as rumor and opinion as factual. You are always going to get b.s. rumors because of the nature of that business. I don't like it either, but if we take a more critical approach to reports it becomes more clear what one should believe and what one might be more hesitant to take as anywhere near to "bond." Forum Po Po and #33 for a reason...
