This guy only draws charges because he can't challenge by playing above the rim. He can't score if you put a defender on him, his handle sucks and he's hot headed and makes stupid fouls at bad times in a game. He's good at giving oppossing team momenteum by those stupid fouls. How soon we forget!!!!!!!!!
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

That deal would never work; the numbers are way off. We would have to add a player with significant contract money.

KVH, Frank and either Sweets or Doleac is the deal where the numbers work. This is also the deal currently on the table from Isiah.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

kt over rated?!?!?!?! around here, maybe, but if u just mean the league I'd have to say Kurt is under rated. He is the most consistant player we have...He nearly averages a double double.

very good discription, but i think he's has played a little better of late. gives the knicks a good chance to find a taker for him. hopefully we can package him with some other knick and get a younger, more athletic, energetic, talented, stronger(optimism)(things that thomas isn't) guy to play for our knicks. i would love to see: ronnie ron, swift, cato(not really an offensive player but got hands and can dunk, allong with playing good defense ofcourse), harrington(pacers, you know, guys like that.

nobody said it but the guy is a starter. he is not a role player. he is a significant part of the offense. some of us feel that the way he plays, messes up the flow of the game. like him not being able to catch some of the passes that marbury throws. if you watch the game, he's not really a good passer either.
he went 5-12 last night, the shots he took were jump shots not post ups. the same shots that he takes could be given to a real jump-shooter and the shooter get hot through out the game and that leads to a better offensive flow for the team.
kurt needs to stick to what guys like malik rose, jerome williams, antawn jamison(he get payed a lot for doing it though), tyson chandler, brian cardinal, do for their team.the hustle plays, the floor burns, the put back baskets off of offensive rebounds, the extra pass to get a real shooter to shot a shot! he should lay-off the silly fouls, the silly emotion, he becomes a mojor problem when he does those things.

Typical casual fan mistakes in your rant about Thomas guys, what he brings to the game is not in the box score. He is one of the best lowpost defenders in the league, those of you who saw the Bulls game must remember how well he defended Curry once he was swithced onto him in the post, pretty much shutting him down in the 2nd half (albeit Curry was tired out). He is a luxury as we don't have to doubleteam in the post, thus bolstering our fledgling preimeter D. He is great at pick and rolls, a very good shooter at PF to 20 feet, how can you even mention Cato in the same sentecne as Thomas? There are very few PF's in this league who shoot better from 15-18, and those do are ither allstars or roleplayers who don't do anything else ala Doleac (even thou he has imporved greatly). Thomas in only below the allstar lowpost guys like Brand, Webber, Duncan, etc. He is way better then Swift or Cato, Swift is just a diffrent player. And if you want to talk about handle, passing and cathcing, Cato and Swift both are very very dumb bball wise, their bball IQ is incredibly low, so don't expect any kind of offensive execution excpet for finishing right next to the basket from either one.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

I think KT is underrated. He is just what plenty of teams in the NBA need. He is a tough one on one low post defender, look at what he did to Curry last night in the second half. he grabs tough rebounds, hustles and know his role. Is he an all-star no, but solid PF yes.

Curry is a damn kid, Kurt played with him pulling his shorts and all. Now put him up against most pf that play over the rim and you will see how weak his game is. 6 fouls on the bench

i hope you realized that curry was destroying kurt in the first half, nineteen good damn points from a fat dude like curry? kurt thomas got mauled whenever he guarded curry.
curry's fat ass just got too tierd in the second half. he looked like he was about the pass out. otherwise curry would have destoyed kurt again if he wasn't tierd and fat.

I disagree about KTs D. He is a good low post defensive player. The problem is he is usually playing D against Centers who are much bigger physically.

BTW Here are some PF that play "below the Rim" I would Piss my pants with joy if the knicks got:

Elton Brand, Zach Randolph, Tim Duncan, Karl Malone (10 yrs ago)

didn't we go over this in the Chris Wilcox thread? Athleticism may be an important part of a pro athletes repertoire but by no means is it the end-all be-all to the importance of the player. How many players can I mention without using a half brain cell? Keon Clark, DMiles... on the other side, Larry Bird, Stockton. You get the picture.

hey, all i know is that the knicks need a combo of a tall, strong, athletic, talented swingman. i hope the knicks get that by using what ever unconventional methods that thomas reffered to when he took over.

What do we need another swingman for? Or do you mean a 4-5 combo guy like Camby? Either way there are few guys right now at the 4-5 that can be had that are better then KT, notice how I emphasize CAN BE HAD.

ask marbury! he's dying to through those allies, bullet passes to a guy who can actually catch them and know what to do with them (either dunk or take it right to the basket)
getting that type of a guy, i hope was and still is isaih's plan with getting steph. steph had those types of a players in phoe in amare and marion, thus a good running and gunning team that reached the playoffs last year.
imo the knicks atleast need one player like that who can best complement steph's passing skills. i hope you feel the same because when i see marb throwing those passes to guys like kurt, doleac, othalla, even van horn and houston, i hold my breath and hope they catch it
