Projected Record: 37-45.

Knicks in the playoffs! But NY fans had more than an eight-game improvement in mind when the team entered the offseason with the ability to sign two superstars. The Amare addition should help, and Mike D'Antoni finally gets some horses to run his system, but the future remains murky. Still, Spike Lee has something to cheer about.

I think they shorted us 4-5 wins. But then again, ESPN hates us.

37 wins that is about right. That is what I expect from the Knicks this year. They only win more if Gallo and chandler step it up if they don't then 36 wins is pretty accurate.

If the team buys into MDA's defensive principles (as weak as they are), I think we can win 45 games. If the team starts the year playing bad defense or it takes us a few months to gel on offense, then I see us winning about 37 games. Either way, I think the best we can hope for is 7th seed, and we will probably end as the 8th seed, which is better because then we can play Miami and beat up on the "Super Friends."

I think we're a better team than Chicago was last year and they went .500. I just think that it's a team that will be greater than the sum of its parts. We have a team that is balanced with only one weak spot which is at C. We'll be able to cover for that since this offense isn't driven by a C anyway.

Defensively I think this could be the best unit D'Antoni has ever had. There are better perimeter defenders than he's had at the point, SG and SF. Amare isn't a great defender, but Turiaf is solid. It's a good group. Not great, but all together and with the boost this system can provide it could get this team over the top in a lot of games that we lost the last 2 years.

I'm also expecting the team to get better as the season moves along. It's a new group and it's reasonable to expect the team to get more comfortable as they play together. I think they'll be a better than .500 team this year. This team last year had it's moments when it looked like it was gonna reach .500, but I think this team is set up better to be more consistent. The overall skill level of the players is higher and they fit their roles much better. We now have REAL PG, SG, SF, PF and Centers. Even tho guys can play other positions, they also have pure positions for a change.

You know we have great opportunity. I really thought they understood we needed to enhance our bench--I really do think there can be some nice players available--what is we have a chance to win this year--are they going to by pass winning just to get to FA? Is Sacramento really going to use 6 bigs? We should be able to get either Thompson or Landry and maybe we can then use Turriaf to get a longer contract type--Rip Hamilton???

wow... 37 wins is around what i expected out of this team LAST year... i guess expectations have gone severely South in the past decade... i'm expecting .500 out of this roster if the key players stay healthy... anything short of that would be a disappointment IMO.

Phuch ESPN, this team and we make the playoffs makes me happy. I know many fans want starphuch results and Miami kind of miricle but that is not us. Not now.

Team makes playoffs and grows from there.

Lets give Miami a hard time!!!!!!
