Amare is only knicks starter able to create his own shot, offense will be stagnant regardless of how many great athlete we have.

That is main reason knicks need CP# some to beat there guy off the dribble and make defenses slide

This is why if we can only have one of CP3 or Melo, I'd take Melo. Because I don't view Amare as a first option. He doesn't excel at creating his own shot.

If I were a PG, he's someone I'd never lose sight of, I'd look to him, but not go to him. He's someone who can carry you for a quarter, or a game, but not a season. So ideally he'd be a 'second option' guy and not a premier, first option, franchise player guy, and thus someone who compliments the rest of your team rather than someone you build a team around. Then there is the issues of his knees.

So rather than finding the best compliment to Amare, I'd prefer to see us first secure our legitimate first option, go-to guy, and compliment him.

If Melo becomes unavailable that's a different story, but so long as he's available I think he should be a primary goal.

Apparently you just skipped the last two yrs. Dude the offense avg'd 20 asts even with horrible pg play and ball stopper Al Harrington. The offense works due to heavy use of picks and spreading the floor. You don't necessarily need a player that creates his own offense. It's great if you have one but the offense isn't predicated on having one.

Pushing the ball and attacking also creates more open looks and easy scores. Felton will be able to do more in this offense and with so many strong finishers we'll be able to play SSOL pretty much for the 1st time. (not talking to you Blueseats)

agree with you completely... we need a ball facilitator to run this offense... we've been one of the worst teams in the league the past 2 years because we've had no defense in the frontcourt & no leader/orchestrator on the floor... sorry but Ray Felton is not close to the PG that CP3 is... he'd be the 3rd string PG on the New Orleans team right now.

Felton Sucks. I would trade anything on this team for CP3 but Curry and his expiring contract


The problem with including randolph and gallo for chris paul is not Knicks losing them, but tricking NO into taking it

The Bobcats made the playoffs last yr winning 44games. Felton is a tough, hard nosed, leader, with elite speed as well as a pure pass first pg. Don't be fooled by stats, the guy is what winners are made of.

i don't doubt the guy can play, but he's not nearly as good as CP3 & IMO Darren Collison is a better PG as well... if we was so great we wouldn't have just signed him to a 2 year contract... dude is a stopgap... i'm not gonna get excited over a player who is going to be gone in 2 years.

Knicks can get all the steals in free agency they want, and sign all the russian centers under the radar they want

But all bull**** aside, the only way the can run with the heat is with Melo,Cp3,and Amare

Signing Hassan Whiteside or whatever dudes name is. Or all these nobody with superstar potentially is fantasy land.

Lebron has determined the way this league will be determined for next decade, unfortunate knicks have good young talents, before july 8, they were in great shape.
