![]() Yeah, if healthy I think he has a real opportunity to start this year. Chandler really isn't a SG, no matter what anyone says. Walker will have to compete to get time.
You know I gonna spin wit it

![]() 10 & 4 over his career... he's not that good... he's solid on both ends but not great... just like any player, he can catch fire & put up a big game here & there... he's just another stopgap player with no future on this team... i'd almost rather see Bill Walker getting minutes over him off the bench just for the curiosity factor alone.

![]() I agree that Azubuike is a key wild card.
I actually think this team has several pretty big and promising wild cards: Kelenna Azubuike if two or more of those guys play the way they are capable of playing for most of the season, this team is going to surprise people and win 45-50 games. ¿ △ ?

Azabuike will be a solid stopgap, nothing more. After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

![]() His 2008-2009 season was very impressive.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

![]() Trying not to get too excited here (we gotta see where he is coming back from this injury -- the only thing I've heard recently was from Alan Hahn who said he's on schedule to be ready for training camp which is great news
![]() If anyone has any video, audio or articles written about Azu since he's become a Knick, please post them. Thanks! |

![]() Buike is going to start at sg by midseason. He will be a perfect compliment player with the trio of Felton, Gallo and Amare. It is simple a battle between Chandler and Buike for the starting sg spot.
Knicks are happening and have a Unicorn.

![]() BRIGGS wrote:I think anyone who watches a lot of basketball knows how good Azubike can be. If he is anything like he was before he was injured--then we have our stud 6th man. Im hesitant to put him there until I know he is OK but for those who havent seen him or have short memories--I give you this. Just think about the potential firepower with what we have. If he is healthy---all I will say is d m watch out. yea, you forget that the kid was a heck of a player.. I hope he regains that explosiveness. if so, we can have a nice SG on our hands.. I mean, on this team, if he can give you 14/5 with efficient shooting from the field and downtown with good defense, then you have a solid player. and I am not just talking stats, I am talking defense, passing, making smart decisions, playing a true SG role.... Raja bell was a 14/3 player for the suns, during their run. but the key is he shot 43% from the field and 40% from three and defended.. that efficient play along with defense and solid passing, made him a great fit in dantoni's system.. far from a stopgap.. if buike can give us anything close, then we would have made out like bandits here... ![]() This injury - torn patella tendon, right? It gets far less "pub" than a torn ACL. What's a typical recovery? What other guys have had this?

![]() AZ is a PERFECT MDA player!!! If you just look at the guy you can see he's guy that best fits the Raja Bell or Quentin role. Overall this was a GREAT job by DW and MDA putting this roster together. They filled it with guys who have great skills, size, speed, BB IQ and great personalities. AZ is gonna fit in just great cuz this team is tailor made for him. With real threats everywhere on the floor he'll be able to do his thing.
MDA's offense is actually more structured than Nellie's IMO. It only looks similar but really MDA's can be more efficient. He looks to have guys like AZ who are efficient scoters, which is why he doesn't like streaky guys that much. Some have said we don't have enough shooting but I disagree. With a typically short rotation we should get more PT for AZ. |

![]() Some more good news to go along with what Hahn reported the other day (for those that missed it, Hahn mentioned on Knicks Live that he spoke to Azubuike personally and that Kelenna said he'll be ready by training camp -- wrote something similar in Newsday too a few days ago):

![]() I wouldn't fall in love with ANY of the Golden State players. They are just assets for a future trade - including Anthony Randolph. I don't think Donnie Walsh made this trade with the idea of using these 3 players as building blocks.
