To bad he didnt know who the h he was or mention his name before a week ago!!!!! But now you love him Jesus Mike Crispino keeps on hawking why Nelson sat down Randolph for the last 50 games---dude doesnt even realize he busted up his ankle and was on IR??? These guys are fake!!!! By the way Tommy Dee--the Knicks will be starting Randolph--why because Randolph is light years better than Turriaf.

You forget who our coach is. Unless Randolph grasps the subtle genius of the SSOL offense, he will be starting the year off on the bench.

MDA says he plays his best players.

What he should say is he plays the players who best grasp how smart MDA & his system are

I think Turiaf starts and is much like Jefferies - a stabilizing presence on both ends of the floor.

Just hope Randolph gets some decent minutes.

I agree. I don't see anyway Turiaf doesn't start over Randolph with the Knicks current coach. Just judging by past practice.

In Pheonix when successful they started Shawn Marion and Amare. A Randolph is much more Shawn Marion than Ronnie Turriaf--he is a speed player and they want to speed the game up. the only way I dont see Randolph starting is that MDA never wanted him and will hold a grudge against him.

Turiaf can only give you 10-15 minutes a night. Don Nelson spoke the truth on him. The man had a heart condition and can give you 10-15 high energy minutes that is about it.

Turiaf is a role player--not an NBA starter.

I know Turiaf had a heart condition but he also said that Nelson was joking when he talked about limited minutes. The story that I read said 20-25 minutes.

I think Turiaf will start, but Randolph will end up getting more minutes.

Total minutes and who is on the floor during crunch time is more meaningful than who starts the first and third quarters.

You're thinking about the wrong kind of speed. Its between the ears which matters most.

Turiaf just has more experience.

I want Randolph to start but last year the guys getting minutes over the rookies were all role players. D'Antoni did play Gallo and Chandler but he ignored Hill and Douglas until March when Donnie traveled with the team. D'Antoni does love talent and was ready to turn everything over to McGrady last February if T-Mac could have carried the load. Hopefully D'Antoni does what is right for the team in this situation.

I know I will get heat for this but you can't take Dee serious. The guy was taking shots at the kid two years ago when some people were saying how the Knicks should have taken him over Gallo. Now since Walsh likes him, Tommy likes him. To be fair, he isn't the only one like that. It's funny and amazing every time I read a post about his potential like it is some new found topic. smh.

Tommy is a hack, they are all hacks. They formulate opinions just like we formulate opinions. Only difference is they get paid for their opinions.

If you kiss arse and play the positive side 100% of the time--its more likely that someone inside will trust you to put out info. That's how much media works anyway. You think hahn will be writing destructive pieces about the Knicks?

Tommy Dee's blog is great around the draft and for the free agent frenzy two weeks. The rest of the year it seems to be pasted articles from other places that basketball fans are already aware of.

Isn't it wonderful! We're arguing about who'll start; Randolph or Turiaf. Quite a change over Jeffries or Bender! LMAO!

First he never mentioned him, and now all he did was take shots at him? Which one is it fellas? A little search on the blog site would have revealed neither is true. All I have read is that Tommy Dee liked AR, but not enough to give up Gallo for him. Seems like both of you recollections are off.

Andrew--if you can find me an article from the past that professes Tommy Dee's love for A Randolph--I would like to see it. I never hear him say a positive word or even mention Randolph until yesterday. He was to focused with the jibber about how it would be incredulous for Lebron James to consider anyone but the Knicks and that we were a sure fire destination for the guy when the reality is we never had a 1/1000 chance.

Aw come on- out of all of the people in the world, why are you targeting Tommy Dee? He worked his arse off this off season trying to find out what was going to happen, he puts a lot of effort in providing Knick fans with info and opinions, and I appreciate the job he does- I don't really see how or why you'd waste your time criticising him, when he isn't a bad guy.

I think Lee is too much to give up at this point, but Randolph is a ridiculous athlete with upside. He’s not a post player and is very skinny but he’d be able to protect the hoop.

A while back, a trade including Lee for Randolph, would be mmmmmmm ok.

But when you get Randolph and two solid defensive minded / leaders (Turiaf) for Lee....Thats a steal.

I don't see Lee getting any better than what we saw. And Lee has always been my favorite player, since draft day.

If we look ahead in their careers and compare Lee and Randolph, they might turn out to be closer than you think. Randolph has camby like potential on defense. And Odom like potential on offense.

Born in Brooklyn, Raised in Queens, Lives in Maryland. The future is bright, I'm a Knicks fan for life!
