He may be talented, but like Sergio Rodriguez, don't you think the reason he just hasn't been given a ton of playing time is because he isn't THAT good?

I agree with you. Sometimes its better to just incorporate reality into your posts, as opposed to homerism.

Its so much easier when certain Knicks players end up sucking.

Sergio was dubbed "Nash Lite" by many posters. Maybe we can call Fernandez "Jordan Lite"

Im guessing Rudy Fernandez is a slightly more athletic Carlos Delfino. A good player who is VERY inconsistent.

who wants him so much? Man up.

He's OK. Like a poor man's Rip Hamilton withouth the defense. He's got his uses but this isnt a guy you "go after"

Did he beat UConn with a game winner?

for the record, i'd take Rudy. but only in a trade for a second round pick or something.

i'm not giving up wilson to get him.

ive always wanted rudy.. i wouldn't say i wanted him ALOT, but i have wanted him on this team once we got d'antoni. watching him play in the olympics, he was a very good player - he fits well in the freeflow type of offense, which is obviously what we employ here. he's very athletic and has a good shot, i just think he could use a change of scenery.

yes, i said the same thing about sergio rodriguez, but i think rudy is just more talented plain and simple.

I'll take Rudy for Rautins that is about it. Who the heck wants a player who shoots 37% from the floor. Say no to scrubs with no upside.

he's 25yo, had a great olympics and has only spent 2 years in the league. his first year he shot 43%

being a bit harsh.

I don't think I'm being harsh, Rudy is garbage he is 25 and already on the down turn went from 43% to 37% shooting I think he is damaged goods to boot. The good ones keep their percentage the same or make it better if it falls it is a minuscule fall, but Rudy took a dip. Andy for Rudy fair deal. I don't think Rudy has recovered from the spill he took.

THere are parts of his game that remind me of Manu Ginobili. I think he's got some creativity to his game and I think can do well in a free flowing offense.

I don't want him so much...

We have actually accumulated a number of guys who can play D without having to be whipped to do it. From what I have seen, Rudy can play the passing lanes, but he is not a exactly a bulldog defender on the perimeter. He also does not seem to be the most solid physical specimen in the league.

Yeah, I might give up the rights to Rautins for him, but nothing of value. If healthy, both Wilson and Azubuike are better than he is, IMO, and much tougher as defenders.

Rudy has only 1 year guaranteed, and his contract is under $1.3 M, so in that sense, he would be a good pickup.

For those of you who might like Rubio, he might also be somewhat of a magnet for Ricky if that is still something Walsh wants.
