I was just thinking, I haven't heard this guys name mention anywhere..For such a special player, he gets no love for the 2nd straight off season.. go figure, people are more concern with his personality more then his skills.

he's a big time defensive liability, unfortunately.

I thought Nate distinguished himself nicely in the finals, surprised Boston doesn't want him back.

I'm left to assume that Nate's off court personality detracts significantly from his on court contributions.

The market for nate is not going to be very lucrative for him. 3 years, 9 mil is about right.

Nate needs to meet with a financial planner and bank/invest much of his earnings. He can still make nearly 20 million in career earnings If he can live for about 300k a year and save he won't be living the large life but a save well rounded one. I don't know if he ever finished school or has outside interests but there is life after basketball!

Boston first needed to focus on figuring out coach, RayRay and Pierce. And then Sheed/JO (who I assume is the Sheed replacement). And now Tony Allen is not coming back, who was much more important to team.

oh.. my bad. Hmm... maybe the Kings? Evans is a PG w/ SG/SF size. You can live w/ a guy like Nate because he would guard 1s.

Who knows.

He doesn't do much nonsense off the court, like getting in trouble (other then a suspended lic)it's his on court shananigans that makes him a liabilty

Scola is still available also. Aside from the Nets I don't see any other team rushing to sign the second tier free agents. Also, I don't consider Scola second tier I think the Nets should offer him a big contract.

I think Boston does want him back, but I don't think they want to pay more than the minimum, though they really do need to start thinking about signing back up guards now Tony Allen has gone- if they lose Nate too, there's not a whole lot left out there for them and with Miami's moves, they may have lost a lot of draw for ring chasing vets willing to sign for the minimum. Maybe Eddie House signs back with them (but then he might go to Miami- that's Boston's problem, if all they can offer is the minimum, most players would probably chose the Heat over them). I think Boston is in trouble- they've lost Rasheed to retirement, they've lost Tony Allen who was a reasonable bench player, Perkins might be out a long, long time with that knee surgery (I think i read he might be out til Feb), and their big off season signing was Jermaine O'Neal who I don't think has much left considering how much they paid for him. I hope they figure out some moves because I'd rather they won than Miami.

I don't see Richard Jefferson getting anything even remotely near what he just opted out of- I really don't know what he was thinking- seriously, which teams that have cap space look like the'yd be interested in signing him at anywhere near what he was due to make.

Ha- did anyone see Kahn has put Sessions on the block- he wants to trade him to free up salary to sign Luke Ridnour to exactly the same contract, apparantly! (I forget where I read it, otherwise I'd post the link) Absolute idiot, serves him right for making moves solely to screw Donnie, but looks like he did us a favour by preventing us from signing him.

Pat Riley trying to sell him on winning that championship now. That could be a hard sell to a guy who is trying to make some money. That works better on seasoned veterans who made their bones in the league already. Got to give Pat credit for the the effort though.

I wish MDA and Nate got along. I think he would thrive with Amare and Felton.

Nets make the most sense - put some extra fannies in Newark and gives someone that Avery Johnson can tower over during time outs.

Avery could hate a guy like Nate.

I can see Denver, Golden State, and Rockets.

Celts and Miami will be in the mix.

Nate on Miami?

I think Nate and Al would both do great in NJ.
