this guy is such a stud. He just makes these guys so much better.

After the last couple years we deserve this guy. Steph makes me a KVH fan.

i'm telling you, maybe by the end of the season maybe?!?!?! we're going to be talking about kidd and marbury as 1 and 1A. no more 2nd fiddle. BUT there's a long way to go before that...

Since Starbury is now in the Messiah Thomas / Lenny Wilkins Superstar Point Guard Mentoring Program, he'll have a VERY good chance to surpass Kidd by next year.

True, he IS already making the other players better!

All Lenny has to do is improve on the machine that is already running.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

I think Steph's always been a better one on one player, but Kidds a beter team guy.

Steph is younger, more athletic and stronger than Kidd... we will see what happens. I also think the Knicks supporting cast is better right now. The Nets are more athletic, but we are a far superior shooting team with better depth.

Time will tell... I do know one thing. Steph is going to take exception to being traded for "the best PG in the NBA" not to mention he's the type of defender that can take Kidd out of his game.

Steph is almost 4 years younger than kid or maybe 3 years but steph still is not in his prime yet and when he perfects his game with all his physical attributes then he will be more of a force, but looking at the knicks, steph just turbocharges our offense, he has two really good shooters in KVH and Houston and other good shooters such as KT and doleac and he creates a lot of open shots, that will make the knicks hard to guard, Houton and KVH look so much more comfortable not having to create as much...

It is odd how the suns managed to trade 2 young PG's who are arguably the 2 best PG's in the league and then they tried to make them scapegoats. I just don't see how a team can have at one time Marbury and Kidd and now have to rely on milos, eisley and Barbosa... they are one team that has fully bought into the european ballplayer concept.... I don't care really I am just glad to have steph!!

Since he has played his way, NY has scored at least 108 points per game! Obviously he is making a difference in terms of setting up his teammates for easy shots! That is why NY is scoring much more now.

If Stephon improves from here on in, ISIAH will have made the best trade in NY history!

Watch Starbury break both his own career assist record (20) and the 46-year old Knicks team record (21) before January is over. It could happen alot sooner though.

Maybe tomorrow against the Bulls...

I too am amazed by Marbury's play. It's been a long time since Mark Jackson was running the Knicks under Pitino. It's amazing seeing a PG get soooo many assists so consistently with our roster. For the longest time I didn't think that would be possible.

Barbosa may pan out as a quality PG (scouting reports often compare his defense and quickness to a young GP). Milos has proven himself as an Iverson-type in Europe--- and it would remain to be seen how he'd fare against NBA competition. The Suns just didn't feel they needed to spend 20million a year on a PG while playing in the big-man dominated west coast. IMHO, trading better talent for depth is a dangerous thing in the NBA. Many a team has gotten screwed by that philosophy.

We got Sprewell for peanuts--- and what we gave them added nothing to Golden State. Philly traded the chuckster in the early 90s--- the Suns went to the finals, the Sixers went south.

stephon is a punk man. he's thinks too much about the team game before thinking about his own stats.
ha ha ha...
seriously though, he needs to elevate his game and his teammates' game to the point where they don't go back to being a bad team. they must get better with every passing game and i think they have the team to maybe even be the best team in the east.
the knicks need to consistently get better and consistently win games.

All the doubters need to quiet down...Steph is the man and Thomas has the plan that will take this team to the next level.

I can't believe how unselfish Marbury played last night. At certain points in the game I was actually yelling for him to shoot the ball instead of passing it all of the time. By the way, he just passed Kidd for total assists on the year

I think right now, marbury is the best fit for a NYK pg. Since he's got here, he's been averaging 16.7 ppgs. an 11.7 apg. Compared to kidd's numbers, 17.1 and 9.6, I think marbury may have quitely passed kidd on that trip to ny. I cant wait until these 2 play eachother.

Yep, the Knicks-Nets have potential to be the next Knicks-Heat rivalry that the NBA is craving for. The Nets moving to Brooklyn just makes the rivalry even more better. Who knows, these two might even meet in the playoffs.

I would LOVE to see the Knicks vs the Nets in the playoffs so NY can establish that they are the dominant tri state area team once again.

Even when we had Mark Jackson, he was a good assist man but he never had the offensive ability Steph had, and he never had the explosiveness steph had also. Steph adds a element to this offense that we never had before... a dynamic one on one player and assist man...
