Ok they are gonna manhandle some teams but............
Its an 82 game season, and to win they will need to avg 40+ mins/game, and score 20+ each. Its 3stars and 9 bums.
Realistically thinking.....the bulls can beat them, the mavs,Lakers,OKC and so can we. so i have miami going 50-32

right now they are just going to outscore teams... lets see who they play up front. Who is their frontline? Bosh doesnt shut down anyone. Amare will destroy him m2m. Who is rebounding on that team? Who is defending the post? Bosh breaks down every year after 50 games. How many minutes are they going to play him??????????

Its not how many mins they gonna play him, to win "HE MUST PLAY 40 MINS MINIMUM", they are signing 9 guys to minimum contracts. minimum contracts dont get u avg players, they get you "the whack kid every picks last at the park"

Because of the sign and trades for Lebron and Bosh, Miami gets to keep their MLE and the rights to all their guys - they'll bring back Haslem and QRich.

I can't believe Cleveland accomodated them after Gilbert's tantrum.

Well, from a business POV, he can let them sign him outright and get nothing, or do a sign and trade and get something

I think for them to succeed, Lebron has to play the 1 and take a Magic Johnson role.

Occasionally I'll take an aspirin, but that's once in a long while. How about you?

Regarding Miami, there going to fill out that roster with better players than you expect.

Say what? You smokin some serious crack, homes? They are going to struggle for so many reasons, starting with overuse, injury depletion, lack of interior D, reliance on outside shooting (due to man/zone defensive sets), scrubs in the second squad, ego clash, and most of all, the bad karma from ****ing with the balance of competitiveness in the NBA. If any of those mofos cared about the NBA, they would not have colluded and Lebron would be either a Cav or a Bull or a Knick. There would be a return to rivalries and meaning in the East. But they punked everyone with this shyte. Stern is a retarded ahole.

Thankfully, the owners and Stern get to renegotiate with the union next year, so they better fix this problem. I don't ever want the players to be wielding this kind of power because they are not mature enough to understand what they're screwing with.

When are some Knick fans going to stop being delusional. The same people saying the Heat won't win are the same ones that thought Lebron added to our team would turn us into a Championship team.

They'll win lots. But he said "best team in the NBA" which is ludicrous. They won't even be a real team. They'll be 3 superstars with 9 castoffs or aging vets who need a chip. Riley isn't going to mesh that into the "best team". But I never said they won't win.

I'm sorry but I feel like many in the Knick's fanbase have no credibility when it comes to judging this team or the Knicks for that matter. Because most of everything that has been said is just anti-Lebron sentiment pro Knicks bias. After watching the fanbase become a bunch of sycophants for Lebron and now flip when he chose Miami, it's going to be awhile before a less biased discussion can be had about Miami.

Can the Heat be beat? Of course they can if a major injury happens or a new superpower is formed (i.e. another team changes the landscape by getting stars of their own).

Will they be beat? Probably not.

They have two of the best three players in the game right now and Bosh is a top 5 big. How many teams in the NBA have 2 franchise players on their team along with a star big?

Barring major injuries or a change in the landscape, this team should win 3 of the next 5 championships. People that question the supporting cast should look at how the Celtics were able to build a bench quickly after trading for Garnett. Vets will play for cheap if it means a shot to win a ring. I said the same thing when I talked about how the plan for the Knicks had to be clearing up as much cap as possible to make a run at these superstars. You can't worry about the supporting cast when you don't have the stars to win with. The Heat got the hard part done and they are already off to a solid start in the "supporting cast" game by grabbing Mike Miller.

I'm not saying I've lost hope as a Knicks or NBA fan because I haven't. I don't know if I've ever been this excited for an upcoming Knicks team in the past. We may barely grab a lower seed in the playoffs this year but even if we do that, I'd be happy because it looks like we will do it with good young talent and good chemistry. We're slowly building something nice in the East.

One step at a time. If the chips start to fall in the right place, maybe we can build the team that takes out Queen James and the Heat.

I agree the Heat will be tough, but it will likely take at least one year. Yeah the Celtics did it with KG, Pierce and Allen, but the Celtics were able to retain Rondo -- who's now a top 5 PG -- and Perkins -- who is very serviceable starter. When you have already have the center and point guard slots filled with quality young talent, than you really don't have to work as hard to fill the roster. The Heat on other hand have Chalmers and a big ? at center. Chalmers is no Rondo and Bosh isn't man enough to carry the interior by himself. The Heat right now are a big donut and that is weakness any halfway decent coach in the league is going to exploit. Mike Miller is nice, but he isn't going to deter anyone from going to Hoop. Haslem if come back will provide solid defense, but he really doesn't scare slashers going to hoop. I think they can address this in 2012 with another MLE, but it's no sure thing next season.

Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. Not enough is bad, and too much is never enough except when it's just about right. - The Tick

Oh crap! I didn't realize that. Thats a killer to be honest- I had hopes that if all they could do is use the minimum, there was a chance, but being able to retain Haslem and Q-Rich, AND have the MLE and sign Mike Miller, then they will have a good supporting cast. I wonder why Jermain O'Neal was in such a rush to leave and joing Boston then. I guess that explains why they were willing to send to many picks- I wish Toronto and the Cavs had resisted now. To be honest our main hope is injuries- Wade used to be injury prone, Bosh seems to miss a fair few games each season- take away 2 of them and they're easily beatable, take away one and it's still going to be tough.

Are you 100% sure they keep the rights?- wouldn't they need to renounce them to make cap space to sign who they traded for? And what about the MLE- they're still under the cap surely at the start of this off season and thats how it's calculated? I hope you're wrong!
