Randolph 6-11
Stoudemire 6-10
Gallinari 6-10
Cahndler 6-8
Felton 6-1

------Pheonix
Stoudemire 6-10
Marion 6-7
Q Rich 6-6
J Johnson 6-8

makes sense.. when we had our good month in dec JJ was starting at center. AR is everything JJ is x1000

I would want to upgrade SG. I might be inclined to let Douglas compete for that spot. He's small but a great defender and that would put Chandler in the Al Harrington role. He could get 30-35 minutes a night off the bench. He could sub at the 2,3,4,5.

It really is a team with great size and versatility.

I agree that's the starting five but I disagree the players are going to be pigeonholed into a position, especially defensively. Amare probably guards Dwight Howard and Gallo probably guards Mehmut Okur and Randolph probably guards Marcus Camby etc.

I would give both Walker and Azubuike a look at SG during camp. I think Chandler is well suited to be the tweener off the bench.

Good point. Given the flexibility of having 6'10, 6'10 and 7'0 in the front court. I like having Turiaf as well

Azubike is probably best set to come off the bench off that bad injury

For our team it would be best to play 9 even 10 to keep the team fresh

My hope is J Jordan shows goods right away he is my main guy Im looking at with Fields(Im not big on Rautins)

and maybe come off the bench with
Jordan 7-0 250
Walker 6-6 225
Azubike 6-5 220
Douglas 6-1 200

and hopefully Fields earns a token for the 10th guy. If we can keep Amare down to 33-34 that is the same thing they did with Duncan and away to keep him fresh and healthy. The one thing you worry with MDA is not using the depth nd riding the guys until injury or depletion. If everything goes well I can see on throwing waves of players in and out running up and down and wearing down other teams nightly with 10.

Not trying to be funny but where did you get this from Briggs? Did MDA come out and indicate his lineup yet? I been waiting to hear his thoughts about the roster and possible starters.

I think he's just predicting.

I think no matter what Amare/AR/Gallo is the front line.

on offense, Gallo will be on the wing, Amare in the center of the court for P&R and AR lurking on the baseline for garbage points and swift cuts to the basket.

on defense, AR will be weakside, Amare strong side (possible problem there, but he's decent man to man) and gallo for help.

I don't think D'Antoni plays traditional positions.

when Jeffries was playing "center" he would often guard opposing point guards.

Either way, the Amare/AR/Gallo frontline is extremely versatile and features shotblocking and rebounding and offensive options galore. Turiaf steps in if we need to body up a big guy.

I like this idea, chandler coming off the bench could give the knicks loads of versatility, he can operate at the 2 & 3 and can give us some minutes at the 4 when we go to a small lineup

That's the first thing I thought when I saw the post.

I would like to see if he has the ability to bang in the hole- not sure anyone on our team can do that except for Amare and Turiaf.

Which position will give Randolph more opportunity for helping out on D and blocking some shots? That's where you want him.

Hopefully having Felton means that Gallo or Randolph will not have to be guarding opposition PGss.

Didn't chandler play a lot of 4 last year? Or at least guard opposing 4's.

If Walker's 3-pt shooting wasn't a fluke last season, I'd prefer to see him at SG. Azubuike also shot the ball well in GS. Both will be better than Chandler at SG, imo, especially since Chandler is more suited to come off the bench with his versatility to back up the 2, 3, and 4.

PG Felton
SG Walker/Azubuike (whoever shows more in practice)
SF Gallinari
PF Amare
C Randolph

Bench
Chandler (at the 2, 3, and 4)
Douglas (backup for Felton)
Turiaf (backing up Amare/Randolph)

I'm going to guess that whoever doesn't get the starting spot between Walker/Azubuike may ride the pine. Our 2nd round picks probably won't see any time as well unless they show a lot during practice.

Kinda want to see what Landry Fields can do. I feel like he can be an X-factor off the bench.

Id rather keep Amare at center until Randolph can develop his body some more. He is probably going to keep getting injured if he has be bang with centers at this stage.

Defensively I would go with Amare at center, Gallo at PF, Randolph at SF. Gallo has pretty good man to man post defense. Randolph has more quickness to deal with SFs.

Offensively I would have Gallo line up at SF and Randolph at PF/C

I would love if Randolph starts. I want to see what this kid has and that's the best opportunity to showcase his talents. Sink or swim.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

This team should have a nice 10 man rotation,if the coach is willing.

AZ and Walker should be the 2 guards with their ability to shoot the three ball.

Gallo and Chandler should man the 3 spot. Gallo spaces the floor better so he should start

Curry or JJ should be the emergency big that gets 10 mins a night to spell AR/Turf/STAT

And Felton/Douglas at the point. 10

He is coming back from an injury that took him out for most of the season. I don't think he will start immediately. I think it will be Turiaf at the center spot and Randolph at the 4. I think Randolph will be eased in very slowly.

Chandler guarded all 5 positions last year like Jeffries.
