Felton shot his highest FG% in a contract year. SURPRISING. Oh did I mention he is a horrible 3 point shooter? Walker small sample size. People said the same foolishness about Chandler the year before. Shooting 3's is NOT Walker's game. Toney Douglas may be a good shooter. We just have to wait and see. D'Antoni is our coach so Rautins wont be sniffing the floor this year. He might not even make the roster. Gallinari is our BEST shooter and he needs to show consistency. As I said team has lots of potential but we need to be running and get mid range shots and play dam good defense. The Phoenix sun's East this team is not. We can be successful if we imitate the Golden State team that beat Dallas and that is with defense and transition buckets. NY Knicks - Retirement home for players and GMs

Our sharpshooter is at the 3, Gallo.. Bill walker is another lethal shooter. Also, Syracuse man Rautins is another lethal shooter off the bench but in due time, he'll be nice.. Wilson chandler may not be a pure sharpshooter but he's our best defender on this team. Hands down! Thats why he'll be our starting 2. I think with Felton at the 1, things will be easy for the players.. We got some really nice young talent on this squad not overpaid.. LETS GO KNICKS! The Future. GO KNICKS!

![]() This is smart we need to stand pat because we have just enough space preserved for melo or another future max player. The SG position could use an upgrade but there really isn't a way to upgrade unless we take on more salary which isn't a good idea. We are improved and a playoff team hopefully and still have space for melo so we've done a very good job. There will be nice SG players available next summer like Jason Richardson, but obviously we have to see what we can do to get melo first. Our rotation is pretty solidified at this point.

![]() nychamp wrote:opening day starters: Im fine man. Team is watchable. Talk of playoffs is a stretch especially with Toronto and Sixers with more cohesive units at the moment and Johnson coaching in NJ. The guys we got can make us an above average defensive team in the east. The question is will D'Antoni take advantage of this. At least we should see less guards waltzing into the painted area. This year is really on D'Antoni. He needs to focus on locking teams down defensively and creating turnovers so we can run run run. If he tries to have us 3 point shoot ourselves to victory we are in trouble. NY Knicks - Retirement home for players and GMs
