I hear you but he can definitely ball & would probably light it up in Dantoni's system & more importantly he not only wouldnt shrink from the NY glare, he seems tailor made for it. Lastly, hopefully he can be had on the cheap

He may be had on the cheap but his contract is far from cheap.

dude has hardly played in years. doesnt play d, isnt a leader, is a nut, doesnt always get along with coaches. we willingly want to bring that in?

I am not a capologist...what are the details of his contract??? I wouldnt want them to do anything that messes w/the fiscal flexibility that Donnie worked so hard to get.

I vote against. If he was the use for Eddy's expiring once we had two parts, I would have agreed. But as the #2, I am not interested.

where are all these young big guys gonna play? taking on almost a maxed guy for 4 years? just to get another young big guy... we dont need to do wash any favors at any rate. wash fans are already hoping the knicks are desperate and rid them of arenas.

He has the mentality and the skill to be a no1 option on a championship team... but his contract is just too big of a risk

I would only consider it if Carmelo Anthony re-signs with Denver and Gilbert Arenas shows he's 110% healthy and back by February 2011. And Washington needs to give up JaVale McGee too.

Actually his cost would be a chance at Melo.


Now, I would say if Melo re ups, then perhaps I would wait until the season starts to see how he is playing.

But I don't think we have the room at present to take him on. He is 2x Curry's contract, and we really don't have anything else that matches up unless its one of the new guys (Felton) that we are signing or just traded for.
