There are the obvious reasons
D WADE has one more title.. and for a player to want to be the best player to ever play.. people can make the argument he may not be the best player on his team because lebron "needs" wade more than wade needs lebron.
But lets go back a little bit to the little free agent convention that all these free agents were supposed to have... "and " talk about the direction/ what would be best for the league... there is no way in hell anyone is going to tell me they decided that having those three stars on one team is what is best for the league.

If lebron goes to miami he very well may become the most hate man in sports.. the "best"player in the prime of his career jumping on another players coat tails to win a championship ....ok everyone points to the celtics big three and how they have worked out well... the difference .. age ... boston had three guys in the twilight of their career ...three guys in the prime of their career like this will never happen/ and if it does it will never work... i want to know what happend to the competitive nature of sports... as opposed to if you cant beat em join em attitude.. where is the pride in that...

tell me what you think ...

I think Lebron's unselfish nature hurts him at times.

NY or Cle. He's not going to Miami. I just cant see it. ESPN spews out a "source" everytime someone from Lebron's sophmore class farts in the wind. Its NY or Cle all the way.

didnt sleep well after the announcement but the whole thing doesn't make sense and when i read between the line the "source" said you better be talking about miami. it could mean anything especially when a big deal happened that day anyway. we will see and it might be a red herring because ny was picking up so much momentum yesterday and all of a sudden this. this could be a rating ploy but what a dick move if they did this in our backyard and announce the hated miami heat.

The natural order of the bball universe says it must be Lebron/Melo/Amare in NY.

The King can't be support cast to Wade in Wade county. If the three were to join forces it would have had to been in a neutral city, and all announcing simultaneously. LBJ going to Miami to "join" Wade and Bosh looks like he's riding coattails and grandstanding at once. It also hasn't been established that he's even needed there yet. Who's to say that Wade and Bosh, with adequate role players, can't get it done themselves? Plus he and Wade have redundancies in their game that should add up to less than the sum of their parts. (Personally, even if it's Wade/Bron/Bosh I still favor the Lakers in the finals because both the Celtics and Lakers had games where they were heavily reliant on their bench, and because of the better fit of player's styles.) Mostly, I just think it would be embarrassing for LBJ to be shown around town by his "big brother," established champion and town owner, Wade.

If he comes to NY there's no doubt who's town and team this is, and he and Amare should go relatively deep in the playoffs. Cleveland, with less talent, had a puncher's chance to win the east until he found out Delonte and Momma were funky. But they will fall short. This allows Melo to make a graceful entrance as a needed element in his native city. It'd be Bron's team, cuz he got here first, but it makes Melo a needed and welcome component -- a rightful homecoming, not a desperate and arbitrary tag along. The power structure makes sense Bron>Melo>Amare, their styles mesh sightly better as Melo can play better off the ball than James or Wade, the sequence makes sense with no grandstanding or diminution of reputations, and lastly, the competitive strength and balance of power of the East is heightened rather than cluster fukked.

I get that these guys needing rings for their legacies, and I think it would be better for their reps to win 4 together than one or none alone, but Bron and Melo in NY has all of these divas in contention for greatness -- with and against each other -- without the appearance of being tag alongs, afraid to have a team or town of their own.

If LeBron goes to Miami then his nickname automatically becomes Robin. Or is it Aquaman? The irrelevant superhero.

Could this be the event that triggers the end of the world in 2012?

Makes you wonder why the players are signing LONG-term contracts, doesn't it?

It's gotta be NY or Chicago.

NJ and Clips are irrelevant. And I really don't see Thorn walking away from the change to build a contender.

He can't put the league through all this just to say "I've decided to stay home to live in Mom and Delonte's basement"

Miami makes him Wade's beetch. I really don't see his handlers going for that.

Gotta be NY or Chi.

Anywhere else is damaging to his rep.
